9 ENERGY SAVING / PUMP CORRECT USE It is quite normal that the pump flow is oversized in comparison with the application. Ideally, the water recirculated through the regulating should not exceed 10-15% of the pump flow. If it exceeds this, besides being inefficient, the recirculating water will heat up causing stress on seals and s, and increasing the risk of cavitation in the pump. It is therefore recommended that the pump capacity is reduced to the actual system needs by moderating the pump R.P.M. FAQ How much you must reduce the pump R.P.M. in order to get a lower capacity?
