4 ConocoPhillips CWPPRA Engagement Since 1990 ConocoPhillips has been involved in 75 various projects enhancing 186,000 acres. An additional 18 proposed projects are forthcoming that will enhance 82,000 acres.

5 CWPPRA ENGAGEMENT Landowner/Agency Workshop In 2010 initiated first annual workshop inviting willing landowners, CWPPRA Agencies and Terrebonne Parish officials In subsequent years, the workshop was expanded to include four coastal Parishes (Terrebonne, Lafourche, Jefferson & Plaquemines) Legislators, as well as Ducks Unlimited & other NGO s to discuss various restoration projects/methods to restore the coast. The intent of the workshop is to foster collaboration, reduce redundancy and actively engage landowners in project development to facilitate project implementation Eighth workshop was held in November of Format now includes discussion of other funding streams currently available for restoration initiatives

6 Working with Ducks Unlimited: Cooperation in Conservation ConocoPhillips has been engaged with non-profits, such as Ducks Unlimited, to address land change on company property The funds are for specific & identified projects to protect Coastal Wetlands and maximize natural resource and habitat benefits The ConocoPhillips/Ducks Unlimited model of project delivery provides opportunity for collaboration during project development and site selection, in addition to the ability to leverage investments to achieve the on-the-ground results(1:4 is average ratio of leveraged funding). 6

8 Shoreline Protection Lose Phase III Construction in 2018 Wave Attenuation Devices (WAD) Fabricated at Low Land Construction Houma facility Placement of 423 WADs began early May. Project was completed May 15, Other shoreline protection measures are being evaluated Additional WADs acquired through donation to Ducks Unlimited, structures to be placed at Lost Lake site in spring of 2018

9 Freshwater Introduction First freshwater enhancement ConocoPhillips project and DU Habitat Restoration Agreement developed with DU; first among Carencro many direct Bayou Freshwater Enhancement delivery projects implemented through the agreement Partners include NOAA, CPRA, Terrebonne Parish Government as well as adjacent landowners Apache Louisiana Minerals, LLC and Continental Land and Fur Corp Goal is to increase efficiency of freshwater distribution through Bayou Penchant system; benefiting ~15,000 acres Project completed in March of 2016 NAWCA Funding secured for second freshwater introduction project in this area and a third project was submitted for NAWCA funding consideration in February

11 Terracing Significant component of Partnership Direct Delivery Projects Terracing Program Nine Terracing projects completed to date. The most recent project began construction in January of 2018 As of June of 2018 the ConocoPhillips/DU terracing program has constructed 140,667 linear feet of earthen terraces equivalent to 27 miles. Increase of 2100 acres of emergent marsh, benefitting ~4,000 acres of marsh 11

13 Mangrove CO2 Storage - Shoreline Protection ConocoPhillips teamed with Tierra Resources to plant Black Mangrove test sites and developed a methodology to establish using wetlands for carbon storage. DU/COP/Tierra Resources collaborated to use Black Mangroves for natural shoreline protection. COP and Tierra Resources were the first entities to use aerial applications to seed Black Mangrove propagules. ~75 Miles ~120 Miles

14 Wetlands Education and Non-Profit Involvement We partner with Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana providing sites to support their habitat restoration process, engaging volunteers and stakeholders which is important part of the restoration process.

15 Education through Community Involvement We work with various Universities (LSU, SE LA, UNO, Tulane, Duke, ULL, University of Florida) to promote research and educational opportunities. We also engage elementary and junior high school students to emphasize the vital importance of preserving the Louisiana Coast.

16 Protecting Communities through Risk Reduction Infrastructure ConocoPhillips Coastal Wetlands provides a buffer for businesses and communities against major storms and tidal surge events. We are participating in the Morganza to the Gulf and the Larose to Golden Meadow Hurricane Protection & Risk Reduction systems that extend 115 miles providing protection for the people of SE Louisiana.

17 Opportunity to Collaborate in Wetlands Louisiana s Gulf Coast is changing Subsidence and erosion contribute to land loss Current federal funding programs have been helping reduce land loss rate Industry and non-profit partnerships (i.e. ConocoPhillips/DU initiative) are also contributing to reducing land loss rate Further opportunities for industry, landowners, and non-profit collaboration should be explored ConocoPhillips actively evaluating opportunities that may arise from CPRA s current Outcome Based Performance Restoration Initiative Coastal Louisiana Oil & Gas Initiative is an opportunity As part of enhancing protection of a significant pipeline network through the Gulf Coast wetlands, restoration and mitigation projects could be incorporated to further restore and mitigate wetlands loss 17
