For each batch of fuel delivered to the vessel representative drip samples shall be taken at the ship`s bunker manifold continuously during the entire bunkering operation. The sampling shall be performed in presence of both Owner`s competent representative and the supplier. Charters always order Bunker via good suppliers according to the relevant ISO recommendations for HFO 380 and MGO in order to operate engines efficiently and without harmful effects. Fuels to be mineral based products, stable and homogenous and shall not contain waste lubricants, chemicals or any other harmful substances. HFO and MGO supplied by Charterer to comply with low sulphur regulations covered by latest Marpol/EU/other relevant regulations on force where trades. Furthermore the following criteria have to be met: (a) The fuel oil shall be of homogenous and stable nature and in all respect suitable. (b) The fuel oil shall not contain any of the following substances: Phenols, styrenes, DCPC, Inorganic acids, used or waste lubricating oils, tar oil or any other potentially harmful components.
