6 FACTS ABOUT GERDA DOORS THERMAL INSULATION No insulation 1,5 W/m 2 K 1,0 W/m 2 K Thermal heat transfer coefficient (Ud) indicates how much heat can pass through the door (including the door frame). Based on this coefficient we can determine heat losses separately for every door partition. The loss of even a small amount can be a reason for a higher heat ing bill. The value of this coefficient depends upon the type and thickness of the material of the doorset. Gerda exterior door meet the standards from January 1st And by choosing a Gerda door you are future-proofing your investment as the doors comply with 2021 forthcoming standards. This range, depending on which options are chosen, can achieve different levels of thermal insulation: There are three groups: insulating doorset energy-efficient doorset passive doorset The insulating doorsets are characterized by a good thermal U value coefficient of 1,2 W/m 2 K. Comprising the steel frame PERFOTHERM with thermal perforations, this range offers three types of thresholds: the steel threshold with PVC gasket wooden timber threshold with PVC gasket aluminum threshold with PVC gasket The energy-saving doorsets NTT60, have a thermal U value coefficient of 0,87 W/m 2 K using the ALUTHERM frame which offers an energy-efficient aluminum frame with heat chamber and gasket and 1,0 W/m 2 K with the DUOTHERM frame which offers a warm energyefficient steel wooden frame with thermal perforations and gasket. Passive doors provide maximum energy efficiencies and cost savings by allowing energy to be stored inside the room. The NTT 75 doorsets are characterized by the coefficient of heat transfer, dependent on your choice of frame, from 0,77 W/m 2 K to 0,93 W/m 2 K. BURGLARY RESISTANCE This is a parameter that defines doors commonly called anti-burglary. Such doors have a special, solid construction, which is intended, among others, to significantly impede the cutting of a hole in them, preventing unauthorized entry. GERDA doors are equipped as standard with two solid locks as part of a multi-point locking system. The security bolts are an important element, their task is to prevent from breaking down the door leaf or taking off the hinges. Gerda NTT doors successfully pass burglary resistance tests achieving RC2 and RC3 grades. The use of higher class doors increases the security for people and property in the home.
