6 Nickel Plated Brass Nylon Strain Relief EMI/RFI Proof - Product Features EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) / RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) is an unwanted disturbance that affects an electrical circuit due to either electromagnetic conduction or electromagnetic radiation emitted from an external source. The disturbance may interrupt, obstruct, or otherwise limit the effective performance of the circuit. These Liquid Tight EMI / RFI - Proof Grounded Strain Relief Fittings made of Nickel Plated Brass are the perfect answer to stringent requirements for reliable grounding and protection from electromagnetic interference. Two styles are available: Standard and Feed-Through. Standard (-BE) The Standard version has an integral O-ring, which presses the braiding against the inside wall of the body but can only be used with braided shield. Overlapping clamping splines apply a concentric force, thereby preventing the form seal from being pulled out of the fitting. This ensures pull-out protection without damage to the cable. 18 Feed-Through (-FE) The patented internal sealing edge results in a superior seal between the splined Nylon clamping insert and Nickel Plated Brass body. Patented 360º grounding due to the internal O-Ring, which ensures perfect contact between braided shield of cable and fitting. Feed-Through works well with braided or foil shield and provides reliable grounding by means of metal spring fingers. Overlapping clamping splines apply a concentric force, thereby preventing the form seal from being pulled out of the fitting. This ensures pull-out protection without damage to the cable. Metal-coated spline insert provides electrical conductivity. Flexible contact points allow contact with variable braid and foil diameters and add additional strain relief to a solution.

To ensure a good ground connection between the Cord Grip and a Metal Enclosure, we strongly recommend the use of EMI/RFI Locking Nuts (Page 29) for non-threaded mounting.
