Simple Pendulum Apparatus (ELP ) Excellent for student exploration of the principles of the pendulum and acceleration due to gravity! This apparatus serves two learning purposes as it allows students to study both pendulum and gravity principles. The pendulum consists of two 1" steel balls and one 1" wood ball, each attached to a piece of string; a pendulum clamp which holds them in place; a sturdy wood support and base. Instructions included.
2 Inertia Balance Kit (ELP ) A class demonstration kit for comparison of masses and to aid understanding of the terms mass and weight. A platform is supported on spring - steel strips which is made to oscillate in the horizontal plane under various loads. Split chuck for clamping can be screwed in the middle of the bar or at either end. Length 25 cms. VARIABLE INERTIA BAR (ELP ) To show that the torque required to accelerate a flywheel depends upon its moment of inertia rather than its mass.a steel bar 790x12 mm is mounted at its center on a sleeved spindle. The spindle is extended through a sleeve so that the bar may be rotated by a weight and string. Heavy adjustable masses are mounted on each end of the bar and may be clamped at any desired position enabling inertia to be varied. GYROSCOPE (ELP ) The brass wheel is 7.5 cm in dia 3cm at its rim, carefully balanced and all three pair of pivots are adjustable. Complete fitted on stand.
