2 General Information Confidence Weight Lifting Bench has been designed and manufactured to comply with the latest British and European Safety Standards (BS EN 957) parts 1 and 4 class (H) home use class (C). The Confidence Weight Lifting Bench is not designed for therapeutic use. The Maximum user weight for the Confidence Weight Lifting Bench is 110kgs. Each station has maximum weight limits that include the user weight. Bench Press (flat/incline) up to 200kgs inclusive of user weight. Leg Extension 35kgs. Safety 1. It is important to read this entire manual before assembling and using the equipment. Safe and efficient use can only be achieved if the equipment is assembled, maintained and used properly. It is your responsibility to ensure that all users of the equipment are informed of all warning and precautions. 2. Before starting any exercise program you should consult your doctor to determine if you have any physical or health conditions that would create a risk to your health and safety, or prevent you from using the equipment properly. Your doctor s advice is essential if you are taking medication that affects your heart rate, blood pressure or cholesterol level. 3. Be aware of your body s signals. Incorrect or excessive exercise can damage your health. Stop exercising if you experience any of the following symptoms: pain, tightness in chest, irregular heartbeat, extreme shortness of breath, feeling light headed, dizzy or nauseous. If you do experience any of these symptoms you should consult your doctor before continuing with your exercise program. 4. Keep children and pets away from the equipment, it is designed for adult use only. 5. The Confidence Weight Lifting Bench is only to be used on a solid flat surface with a protective cover for your floor or carpet. For safety, the equipment should have at least 0.5 meters of free space on all sides. 6. Before using the Confidence Weight Lifting Bench check that the nuts and bolts are securely tightened. 7. The safety level can only be maintained if it is regularly examined for damage and or wear and tear. 8. Always use the Confidence Weight Lifting Bench as indicated. If you find any defective components whilst assembling or checking, or hear any unusual noises during use stop immediately. Confidence Weight Lifting Bench until rectified. 9. Care must be taken when lifting or moving the equipment as not to injure your back. Always use proper lifting techniques and or use assistance.

6 Step 1 1. Connect both Uprights (2) to the Upright Support Bar (3) using the 4 x M8 x 50mm Carriage Bolts (17) fitted from the inside as per illustration, 4 x M8 Flat Washers (23) and 4 x M8 Nylon Locknuts (26) 2. Place both Uprights (2) on the inside of the Rear Stabiliser (1) and secure in place using 2 x M8 x 80mm Carriage Bolts (44) fitted from the outside, 2 x M8 Flat Washers (23) and 2 xm8 Nylon Locknuts(26). 3. Now attach both Stabiliser Brackets (13) to the inside of the Rear Stabiliser (1) and to the outside of both Uprights (2) using 2 x M8 x 50mm Carriage Bolts (17), 2 x M8 Flat Washers (23) and 2 xm8 Nylon Locknuts (26) and to the inside of the Rear Stabiliser (1) using 2 x M8 x 45mm Carriage Bolts (45), 2 x M8 Flat Washers (23) and 2 x M8 Nylon Locknuts (26).

7 Step 2 1. Connect the rear of the Main Frame(4) to the assembled Uprights using 1 x M10 x 55mm Hex Head Bolt (43), 2 x M10 Flat Washers (25) and 1 x M10 Nylon Locknut (29) bolted from the side. Then fit 2 x Round Cap (46) on each side. 2. Place an M8 x 90mm Carriage Bolt (19) in the upper hole and secure in position using 1 x M8 Flat Washer (23), 1 x M8 Spring washer (24) and 1 x M8 Locking Knob (female) (28). Tighten securely to lock the frame in position 3. Fit the Front Stabiliser (5) to the Leg Extension Upright (6) and secure with 1 x M8x50mm Carriage Bolt (17) 1 x M8 Flat Washer (23) and 1 x M8 Nylon Locknut (26). Connect the assembled Leg Extension Upright to the front of the Main Frame (4) using 1 x M10 x55mm Hex Head Bolt (43), 2 x M10 Flat Washers (25) and 1 x M10 Nylon Locknut (29) bolted from the side. 4. Fit the Front Stabiliser (5) to the Leg Extension Upright (6) and secure with 1 x M8x50mm Carriage Bolt (17) 1 x M8 Flat Washer (23) and 1 x M8 Nylon Locknut (26). Connect the assembled Leg Extension Upright to the front of the Main Frame (4) using 1 x M10 x55mm Hex Head Bolt (43), 2 x M10 Flat Washers (25) and 1 x M10 Nylon Locknut (29) bolted from the side. 5. Place an M8x 55mm Carriage Bolt (18) in the upper hole and secure in position using 1 x M8 Flat Washer (23), 1 x M8 Spring Washer (24) and 1 x M8 Locking Knob (Female) (28). Tighten securely to lock the frame in position. 6. Fit the Leg Extension Support (7) into the Leg Extension Upright to any one of 3 positions and lock in position using the M8 Locking Knob (27). 7. Assemble the Leg Extension (8) to the Leg Extension Support using 1 x M10 x 60mm Hex Bolt (20), 2 x M10 Flat Washers (25) and 1 x M10 Nylon Locknut (29) bolted from the side. Then fit 2 x Round Cap (46) on each side. 8. Fit the Leg Extension Weight support (14) to the Leg Extension using 1 x M8 x 45mmCarriage Bolt (45) 1 x M8 Flat Washer (23) and 1 M8 Nylon Locknut (26). Tighten securely and slide on the Weight Retainer clip (31) 9. Slide a Foam Roller (40) onto one end of a Leg Extension Pad Bar(9) and fit into position on the Leg Extension. Slide the remaining Foam Rollers onto the Leg Extension Pad Bars.

9 Step 3 1. Fit the Backrest Supports (11) to the Backrest (41) using 4 x M6 x 35mmm Bolts (16) and 4 x M6 Flat Washers (22). 2. Connect the assembled Backrest to the Main Frame(4) using the fittings in the following sequence, 1 x M10 x 130mm Hex Bolt (21), 1 x M10 Flat Washer(25, 1 x Backrest Support Bushing (32) on one side then 1 x Backrest Support Bushing (32), 1 x M10 Flat Washer (25) and 1 x M10 Nylon Locknut (29). Tighten securely to remove all free-play but take care not to over tighten. Remove the pre-fitted Seat Bracket (12) from the Seat (42). Fit the Seat Bracket (12) to the Main Frame using 1 x M8 x 50mm Carriage Bolt (17), 1 x M8 Flat Washer (23) and 1 x M8 Nylon Locknut (26) and tighten securely. 3. Fit the Seat (42) to this bracket using the previously removed 2 x M6 x 14mm Bolts (15) and 2 x M6 Flat Washerss (22). 4. Fit the Seat (42) to this bracket using the previously removed 2 x M6 x 14mm Bolts (15) and 2 x M6 Flat Washerss (22). 5. M6 Flat Washers (22). 6. The Backrest can be adjusted into 4 positions for convenient use (Flat and 3 incline positions). Please ensuree that the Backrest Adjustment Rod (10) is positioned under the Backrest Supports and is secured into place in any one of the 3 adjustedd holes in the uprights before use.

10 7. Securely tighten all bolts and fixings and then your Confidence Weight Lifting Becnh is ready for use.

11 Folding the Bench for Storage 1. Unscrew the rear M8 Locking Knob (female) (28) and remove the M8x90mm Carriage Bolt (19). M8 Flat Washer (23) and M8 Spring Washer. 2. Lift the front of the Main Frame. Remove the Leg Extension Assembly by unscrewing the M* locking Knob (male)(27). Place this assembly to one side. 3. Now unscrew the front M8 Locking Knob (female)(28) along with 1 x Flat Washer(23), 1 x Spring Washer (24) and fold down the Front Upright Assembly. 4. Ensure the bench is securely stored in an upright or full flat position away from children.
