1 EAGW10SY FITTING INSTRUCTINS SUPERCEEDS: EAGW04SY REVISED: Check installation hardware before commencing. 1. Lift bonnet. GREAT WALL V240 03/11on AND V200 08/11on ARC BAR WITH FG LIGHTS VEHICLE FRNTAL PRTECTIN SYSTEM (VFPS) FR AIR BAG & ADR CMPLIANT VEHICLES 2. Remove number plate (if fitted). Unclip plastic cover between number plate fittings and remove 10mm head bolt. 3. Remove underbelly guard, four 13mm head bolts. 4. Remove plastic bumper cover. At rear of join between guard and bumper cover, remove one PK plastic screw clip (beside small PK screw) (per side) and one PK plastic screw clip (per side) under lower front corner of wheel arch. Remove two 13mm head bolts and four plastic PK screw clips across top of grille between headlights and four 13mm head bolts across lower centre of bumper cover. Carefully pull sides of bumper out to unclip from guards and forward to unclip under headlights. 5. Remove bumper support. Two 13mm head bolts into front of rail (per side) and two 13mm head bolts in centre rear of bumper support. See figure 1. Remove centre supports from top of chassis cross member, two 13mm bolts. 6. Remove four lower bumper brackets. Two 10mm head nuts for outer support and one 10mm bolt for inner support. See figures 2 and 3. Fold inner guard over bottom of radiator support. Push against head of bolts to mark. Drill marked area to 6mm. Attach to front of radiator support using original bolts. 7. Fit ECB steel mounting bracket (supplied) to front of chassis rails using four M10 x 40 bolts, spring washers and flat washers (supplied). Firmly tighten. See figure 4. Fit original underside centre bolts for alignment purposes. 8. Fit ECB chassis support brackets on top of chassis with flange to outside from behind radiator support panel under guard. See figure 5. For drivers side, attach to ECB mounting bracket using one 3/8 x 4 bolt, flat washers, 65mm tube spacer, 25 x 40 x 6 steel washer, spring washer and nut (supplied) for rear hole and two 3/8 x 1 ½ bolts, flat washers, spring washers and nuts (supplied) for front. For passenger s side, align front bolt holes centrally to holes on ECB mounting bracket and mark rear hole. Drill hole through straight through chassis rail and out the inside, taking care not to damage equipment on inside of chassis rail, to 10mm. Enlarge hole in outside of chassis rail to allow fitment of tube spacer. See figure 6. Blow filings clear and treat all exposed metal with a rust inhibitor. Attach to ECB mounting bracket using one 3/8 x 4 bolt, flat washers, 65mm tube spacer, 25 x 40 x 6 steel washer, spring washer and nut (supplied) for rear hole and two 3/8 x 1 ½ bolts, flat washers, spring washers and nuts (supplied) for front. 9. Remove flares from sides of bumper cover, two 10mm head bolt and two PK screws. Caution: The flare has double sided tape along front edge. 10. Cut plastic bumper cover in straight line from top edge of grille to rear edge of bumper. See figure 7.. Copyright ECB Pty Ltd

2 11. For trim on front of plastic bumper, use paper masking tape to cover area between bottom of grille and vehicle cut line. Mark horizontal line in line with top edge of number plate holder. Mark around bolt in centre of plastic bumper allowing 10mm from front edge, leaving it on plastic bumper as a fixing point. See figure 8. Trim and remove section of bumper. 12. Mask top of flare to avoid damage. Using supplied template, align to top of flare and mark cut line. Carefully trim flare. Fit 3mm clip lock (supplied) to bottom edge. Ensure rear of front edge of clip lock is trimmed or flare will not sit flat to bumper. Refit to plastic bumper. 13. Disconnect indicator and parking lights on vehicle. Install ECB quick click wiring harnesses (supplied) between disconnected harness and indicator / park lights on vehicle. Run wiring out from under lights ensuring clearance from sharp edges and moving parts. 14. Connect ECB Quick Click fog light wiring harness (supplied) into original wiring harness. 15. Fit ECB LED indicator / park lights (sup into protection bar as per instructions supplied with the LED indicator kit. NTE: Ensure park light is to outside. See figure Attach ECB fog lights to protection bar. Use M6 x 20 bolts and washers (supplied) with M6 nuts on wire (supplied). TIGHTEN FIRM NLY. See figure Attach mesh infill (supplied) into airflow cut outs in channel section of bar. Attach on inside of channel. Use M5 nyloc nuts and 6mm flat washers (supplied). NTE: When fitting have mesh direct airflow in an upwards direction. 18. Attach 6mm clip lock trim (supplied) to top of ECB protection bar. NTE: Trim off lower edge on an angle so trim will sit flush with end of protection bar. See figures 11, 12 and Fit ECB protection bar to steel mounting bracket using ½ x 1 ½ bolts, flat washers, spring washers and nuts (supplied). FINGER TIGHTEN NLY. 20. Align ECB protection bar to vehicle. See figure 14 and 15. TIGHTEN ALL BLTS. 21. Connect and test indicator / park lights and fog lights for correct operation. 22. Fit 6mm clip lock trims to vents in skirt. When fitting trim on angle to suit hole and leave the trim slightly longer than required for hole, to allow a snug fit. See figure Install ECB under body guard to top of lower edge of Protection bar skirt using three M6 x 20 bolts, flat washers and nyloc nuts. Refit underbelly guard with original bolts. TIGHTEN ALL BLTS. ENSURE NUMBER PLATE IS CLEARLY VISABLE Note: When fitting/refitting the licence plate to the vehicle, ensure there is no obstruction to licence plate vision in accordance with local authorities. If required relocate licence plate to an alternate location. Further VFPS Notes: a) Do not attach VFPS to the vehicle using anchorages not intended for this purpose (e.g. engine mounting bolts). b) Do not use this product for any vehicle make or model, other than those specified by the VFPS manufacturer. c) Do not remove the plaque or label from the VFPS. d) Do not modify- the structure of the VFPS in any way. e) No accessory or fitment should project forward of the VFPS forward profile. f) Ensure these instructions are left with vehicle owner and/or operator..
