Using a 13mm socket and ratchet loosen and remove the nut on the positive battery accessory lug. 2. Connect the ring terminal of the power harness to the lug and retighten the nut. Fig Route the wire toward the rubber grommet on the fire wall where the hood release cable passes through. 4. On the inside of the vehicle remove the two 13mm bolts that secure the electrical distribution block. Fig. 2 Fig. 1 Fig. 2 77KICK13 4/3/07 Page 1 of 5

5. Push the block over to one side to gain better access to the rubber grommet. 6.

Pull the wire through until the protective loom just touches the grommet underneath the hood. Approximately 15 inches on the inside of the vehicle. 7.

8. Remove the driver s side sill plate along the bottom of the door opening by prying up with a panel removal tool. 9.

Gently pull out on the bottom of the panel to release the metal fasteners.

2 5. Push the block over to one side to gain better access to the rubber grommet. 6. Make a small hole in the grommet and push the power wire through the rubber grommet. Pull the wire through until the protective loom just touches the grommet underneath the hood. Approximately 15 inches on the inside of the vehicle. 7. Install the supplied two pin connector by inserting the terminal on the end of the power wire into the back of the connector until it clicks and locks. 8. Remove the driver s side sill plate along the bottom of the door opening by prying up with a panel removal tool. 9. Remove the two phillips screws securing the plastic panel below the steering column. Gently pull out on the bottom of the panel to release the metal fasteners. Leave the hood release lever connected and just let the panel hang below the dash. Fig Remove the four phillips screws securing the metal panel below the steering column and remove. Fig. 4 Fig. 3 Fig Remove the four phillips screws directly below the steering column indicated in Fig Find the 10mm factory ground bolt beneath the steering column and connect the black ground wire of the wire harness. 13. Plug the power wire connector on subwoofer harness to the connector you installed on the wires coming from the under the hood.

Located the left front door speaker wires in the wire harness bundle coming from the electrical distribution block you remove earlier above the parking brake lever.

Lay the wire in the open channel, fold the connector body over and squeeze with a pair of pliers until connector snaps shut. Fig. 7 and Fig.

8 16. Connect the subwoofer harness input wires to the t-tap connectors.

3 13. Plug the power wire connector on subwoofer harness to the connector you installed on the wires coming from the under the hood. Slide the red locking tab over to prevent the connectors from accidentally coming disconnected. 14. Located the left front door speaker wires in the wire harness bundle coming from the electrical distribution block you remove earlier above the parking brake lever. The wire colors are green with a blue stripe and green with a yellow stripe. 15. Install one of the self stripping t-tap connectors on to each wire. Lay the wire in the open channel, fold the connector body over and squeeze with a pair of pliers until connector snaps shut. Fig. 7 and Fig. 8 Tip: Once these connections have been made you might want to test the wire with an inexpensive test-tone generator to verify you have the right wires. Fig. 7 Fig Connect the subwoofer harness input wires to the t-tap connectors. The green wire (positive) of the harness connects to the t-tap connector on the green wire with the blue stripe in the vehicle. The brown wire (negative) of the harness connects to the t-tap connector on the green wire with the yellow stripe in the vehicle. 18. Reinstall the four screws to secure the amplifier in place. 19. Connect the ten pin connector of the harness to the amplifier.

Remove the two 15mm bolts per side that secure the front of the seat. Fig. 11 22. Remove the two 18mm bolts per side that secure the rear of the seat. 23.

Adjust the backrest of each side to the approximately vertical position. 24.

Remove the three Torx T25 screws securing the package tray behind the seat. Fig. 12 Fig. 11 Fig. 12 26.

4 18. Reinstall the four screws to secure the amplifier in place. 19. Connect the ten pin connector of the harness to the amplifier. Slide the red locking tab over to prevent the connectors from accidentally coming disconnected. 20. Route the harness along the bottom of the door jam. 21. Remove the two 15mm bolts per side that secure the front of the seat. Fig Remove the two 18mm bolts per side that secure the rear of the seat. 23. Adjust the driver s and passenger s side of the seat until they are even with the front edge of the center section. Adjust the backrest of each side to the approximately vertical position. 24. With the help of a second person carefully lift up on the seat and slide it as far forward toward the dash as possible. 25. Remove the three Torx T25 screws securing the package tray behind the seat. Fig. 12 Fig. 11 Fig Lift up on the package tray and move it forward as far as possible. 27. Lift the carpet up and find the two small dimples in the sheet metal near the center of the truck along the back wall. Fig Place the subwoofer mounting bracket on the floor and align the holes in the bracket with the dimples 29. Secure the bracket in place with the supplied self tapping screws. 30. Continue routing the wire harness to the center of the truck along the back wall. Leave about 12 inches on top of the carpet. 31. Reinstall the package tray.

Guide each side of the bracket between the end panel and the subwoofer housing while rotating the subwoofer into place. 34.

5 30. Continue routing the wire harness to the center of the truck along the back wall. Leave about 12 inches on top of the carpet. 31. Reinstall the package tray. Make sure not to leave the wire harness underneath the tray. 32. Place the subwoofer in the package tray but let it lean forward while making the connection with the wire harness. Fig Guide each side of the bracket between the end panel and the subwoofer housing while rotating the subwoofer into place. 34. Secure the subwoofer to the bracket using the supplied #10 screws and washers. Fig. 16 Fig. 15 Fig Reinstall all previously removed parts in reverse order. Install new seat bolts* and torque to 30 ft. lbs rear and 21ft. lbs front. 36. Install supplied fuse in the fuse holder under hood. *To avoid personal injury or death, the fasteners, screws, and bolts originally used for the restraint system components must never be replaced with any substitutes. These fasteners have special coatings and are specifically designed for the restraint system. Do not reuse the seat fasteners, always replace with the new ones provided 77KICK13 4/3/07 Page 5 of 5
