2 WARNING! Machine operators and others in the work area should always wear safety glasses to prevent serious eye injury from fasteners and flying debris when loading, operating, or unloading the stitcher machine. Do not operate this stitcher head without all stitcher machine guards in place. Do not modify the guards in any way. Always disconnect the power supply before removing any guards for servicing. Never operate the machine with wire feeding through the head unless there is stock above the clinchers, otherwise serious damage may result. Always turn power off when making adjustments. Always disconnect the power cord before any disassembly work. EYEWEAR REQUIRED

3 E REMOVING AND DISMANTLING M000 HEAD. Loosen face plate clamp screw and slide out face plate locating block. 0. Remove screw. Slide tension spring bracket and adjusting lever from top. 3. Slide the driving slide and bender bar assemblies from the top. When reassembling, hook bender bar to driving slide before sliding into place. This must be assembled as a complete unit. 9. Remove rotator operating cam stud. 8. Remove rotator operating cam stud screw. (CTTT605T3 Scene 9) F DO NOT REMOVE OR ADJUST THESE TWO SCREWS. The screws are factory set to control the supporter lever location. G A How to Install rotator operating cam Caution B D C When reassembling, make certain that pin (Index A) is visible and is aligned with slot (Index B) of rotator operating cam (Index C). If not assembled in this way, the bonnet casting will crack or break on the next cycle under power. It is recommended that the stitcher be cycled by hand to test that proper reassembly procedure has been followed. NOTE WHEN MOUNTING MODELS 405A, 405B, AND 405C IN AN INVERTED POSTION THE THREADED PLUG IN LUBE HOLE "D" MUST BE REMOVED AND INSERTED FROM THE OPPOSITE SIDE. This warranty is not transferable. It covers damage resulting only from defects in material or workmanship and does not cover conditions or malfunctions resulting from normal wear, neglect, abuse or accident.
