Irrespective of whether you require load current or no-load current solutions, with TECHNILOCK you have made the right choice. Depending on the selected function, TECHNILOCK bolts are ideally suitable for securing valuables (e.g. in counter halls or vaults) or for protecting humans (e.g. in public buildings). A further advantage is the wide variety of control options. For example, it is not only possible to operate every TECHNILOCK bolt by a simple switch, a TECHNILOCK control panel, card readers, code keypads etc. but also by a conventional profile cylinder. The various installation possibilities also contribute to the success of the TECHNILOCK bolt: Although they are usually mounted in the frame of the door, they can also be installed in the door leaf or horizontally in the frame. The load current version can also be supplied with a door latch. The small dimensions of the case render the L3 series suitable for almost all common profiles. 16 TECHNILOCK MODEL SERIES M4 TECHNILOCK M4 16 The M4 series is the logical further development of the L3 series and is also available in no-load and load current versions. Integrated codable and contactless striking plate identification provides improved manipulation protection at the striking plate as the bolt only then closes when it identifies the matching striking plate. The SE option with additional control latch (only available in the load current version) enables the door to be closed even during a current failure as the bolt is forced back until the control latch is actuated. The M4 is a high security door bolt that provides maximum protection against intrusion or escape attempts as well as door manipulation. The door bolt is suitable for installing in the door frame (horizontally or vertically) and the door leaf (vertically) depending on the door or gate construction. The special bolt shape and the control integrated in the door bolt, enable the door bolt to be used in revolving and swing doors. The door is automatically locked when closed. 17 TECHNILOCK MODEL SERIES M4 Pl version The Pl version is a specially designed high security door bolt. Based on the door bolt M4, a face plate cover is used that is 1.5 mm thicker. To enhance the functional security, micro switches of Protection Class IP 67 are used as well as differently shaped bolts that make a blocking by foreign objects virtually impossible. 37 DOOR BOLTS MOUNTING TIPS Installation options Installation of electric bolt in frame profile The illustration shows the installed electric bolt and the short striking plate in a closed door. The bolt engages in the striking plate and door is locked. In order for the bolt to securely lock the door, it must engage in the striking plate without obstruction. The main lock and/or door closer are necessary to ensure the required position of the door leaf. Frame Door leaf Section A A Surface mounting of electric bolt and long striking plate in stainless steel housing For surface mounting, the electric bolt and the long striking plate are mounted in a housing. The housing with the electric bolt is e.g. secured on the front of the frame and the housing with the striking plate on the door leaf. Frame 37 Door leaf Section A A Mounting on glass doors with frame When mounting the electric bolt on glass doors, the housing for the bolt is attached to the door frame in the same manner as for surface mounting the housing. However, the housing with the long striking plate is directly glued to the door leaf using the special glue. The self-adhesive counter plate is also glued to the door leaf on the opposite side A to improve the appearance. 43 MOTOR BOLTS MOTOR BOLTS Open for all solutions If you wish to combine high security with remote monitoring, effeff offers additional motor bolts that are operated by an integrated 12V electromotive gear unit. The effeff locking mechanisms are available with a motor bolt, double bolt or with motorized power cam bolt. As the effeff motor bolts meet the high security requirements, they are suitable for use in banks, data centres, power stations, laboratories and of course, also for apartments and residential complexes. Either as an individual solution or in complex systems, the control of the locking mechanisms leaves nothing to be desired and is possible via control panels, door code systems or access control systems. In particular in dangerous situations, entrances and exits can be opened or closed reliably according to the specific requirements.
