2 Introduction ELECTRIC LOCKS ABLOY are without doubt, the world s premier manufacturer of electric locks. Our extensive range includes both motor and solenoid locks providing security, flexible functionality and good looks. When using an access control system, be it digital, card swipe, proximity or any other, ABLOY electric locks will ensure that the security of each door is not compromised whilst allowing the freedom of access required. The range of motor locks feature bolts withdrawn by motor to provide hands-free unlocking of the door, whilst ABLOY solenoid locks use solenoids to engage handles or free mechanisms to allow entry. As with other ABLOY ranges, electric locks come in all shapes and sizes, to suit most types of door. Mechanical override is provided by our ABLOY PROTEC cylinder mechanism which will be supplied as standard unless stated otherwise. If you are using an access control system, be sure to consider an electric lock it will provide all the security and looks of a mortice lock whilst ensuring convenient and reliable entry and exit. Depending on the choice of basic function the snib on the lock forend can be set to select the day/night function and then secured with a locking screw.
