1 Duplex Pressure Filters Series DFDK Ball Valve Selector Pressures to 45 psi Flows to 9 gpm APPLICATIONS HYDAC DFDK Duplex Filters are ideal for use on hydraulic test equipment, robots, or other critical hydraulic systems requiring continuous operation. The integral ball valve selector provides uninterrupted flow during changeover between filter housings. Costly shut-downs to replace filter elements are avoided. The DFDK filters are much more compact, have fewer leak points, are much less costly, and have better appearance than two filters with a separate transfer valve. PRODUCT FEATURES The DFDK Filters have a filter head of ductile iron and a screw-in bowl of cold-formed steel. The filter housings are designed to withstand pressure surges as well as high static pressure loads. The screw-in bowl allows the filter element to be easily removed for replacement or cleaning. DFDK Duplex Pressure Filters Filters A visual (pop-up), electrical, electrical/visual (lamp), or electronic differential type clogging indicator DFDK filters are available only with high collapse pressure elements since no bypass is provided. FILTER ELEMENTS DFDK Filters are available with either disposable or cleanable elements. Disposable Betamicron (BH3HC) elements which have 3 psid collapse pressure and absolute ratings of 3, 5, 1, and 2 microns. Cleanable Metal fiber (V) stainless steel fiber elements have a 3 psid collapse pressure and nominal ratings of 3, 5, 1, and 2 microns. All filter media is supported to achieve flow fatigue resistance. Proper support of the filter media also provides high Beta Ratio values (particle removal efficiency) even at high differential pressures. The efficiency of many competitive elements drastically deteriorates as the element clogs and differential pressure increases. High quality epoxy adhesive is used to bond the end caps to the media and to bond the seam of the media.
