3 1. Introduction Cryosense team has been working in the development of a new electrical panel for several months. We have decided to incorporate this improvement in the new cabins delivered, and not to wait until the new Cryosense cabin model is released, because this electrical panel includes many advantages for the distributor and client, besides improving the cabin s functioning and several components operating life. NOTE: This improvement entails an increase of the cabin s cost. However, the price of the cabins that include this element is not going to be increased, as a detail from Cryosense. The improvements that this electrical panel includes are the following: UL Certificate in every component of the electrical panel. Relays of each component have been changed to improve its functioning and operating life. o Relays of a single pole and more amperage in some components. o Relays of two poles in other components. o Solid state relay for the solenoid valve. Possibility of shifting the water pump s spin direction thanks to the new relays. This improvement makes the pipe release water accumulation. Relay for switching off the cabin s dome using the Simon switch. This improvement has been implemented to prevent the cabin from turning on without waiting for the necessary time what made some components not to start properly (leaving a blue screen, etc.). The Siemens power supply has been changed from 24VDC to 5A, and the AC transformer from 40VA to 24VAC through a 10A 24VDC power supply. This improvement has been added to upgrade the general operation of the electrical panel and its electromagnetic compatibility. The 24VA AC 40VA AC transformer has been removed, because it is better to work in DC for several reasons. Therefore, the 24VAC components have been changed to 24VDC. These components are: Asco solenoid valve and the four Belimo damper actuators. Version 01 December 2017 Page 3 of 11

4 The frequency inverter has been replaced by a Siemens model. This allows exchanging different frequencies (up to three) during the cabin cycle to improve its operation. This improvement offers the option of raising or lowering the frequency in each of the phases, in order to favor the evaporation of nitrogen, the N2 supply to the user and the defrosting of the cabin. In order to carry out this change, all Cryosense cabins will be supplied with three-phase motors. The KTP has a series of updates regarding the handling of the cabin and its maintenance. In addition, it offers the possibility of selecting the language more effectively. Varistors have been changed in a system that integrates them for electromagnetic compatibility. The components of the panel have been distributed in a certain way to better dissipate the heat. For this reason, the arrangement of equipment within the panel has been modified, so that the elements with greater heat dissipation (PLC and its expansion modules, inverter and power supply) are placed in the lower part of the cabinet. The RJ45 connector has been placed on the lower front part instead of the upper one with a lid that has been improved in several aspects (it prevents the entry of moisture or dirt when not being used, etc.) The clamps have been improved, as well as the arrangement of their cables, sections and wiring surface, etc. with the aim of improving the CE marking of the cabin in terms of safety and electromagnetic compatibility. Each electrical panel has a serial number that facilitates the identification of each of the components it has, its traceability, guarantees, etc. Their serial numbers are the following: o H2A-NxxxVx.x: where N refers to having no scale (without siwarex), xxx is the frame number of this model and Vx.x is the panel s version. o H2A-SxxxVx.x: where S refers to having a scale (siwarex), xxx is the panel number of this model and Vx.x is the panel version. 5 Due to these changes in the electrical panel, Cryosense recommends that all distributors have a spare kit for these electrical panels elements. You can talk to after-sales service for its supply so that you get its price. It is recommended that the spare kits are taken to both the installation and maintenance of the cabins. This kit has a series of components that could be affected by some reasons (current rise of the center, etc.). These components are: relays of each model, relays, fuses, etc. NOTE: The new relays of the replacement kits should not be used without consulting Cryosense, as they may have different characteristics (polarities, amperage, etc.).
