2 Step Disassemble the hub as shown below Step Inflate the inner tube very slightly to give it shape and insert into the tyre. Step Seat the tyre onto one side on the wheel hub as shown, ensure the valve on the tube fits into the cut out on the hub. Move the second part of the wheel hub into position and secure it in place. Make sure that the inner tube is not caught between the two parts of the wheel hub. Step Apply a small amount of dish washing liquid to the O-ring to make it easier to slide over the hub and in place between the two hubs. Push the tyre to one side of the hub when doing this. Inflate the tyre to about 0% then deflate it to 0% then inflate it fully (. bar). Step Fit the wheel in position placing part (mm length) on the side with the deeper clearance & part (mm length) on the side with the shallower clearance. Step Enlarge the holes in part that you have drilled in the previous step. Drill the Ømm holes through with a Ømm drill bit. Fit M rivnuts through the Ømm holes so that the heads of the rivnuts sit against the joggle of part when the spats are fitted together. Step Fit the spats over the nosewheel and hold it in place, the inside surface of part should be approximately mm away from the nose gear tube at the front and the pilot holes for the brackets parts & should line up as much as possible. Once you have assembled everything paste the tyre pressure sticker. DETAIL C 0 0 DETAIL A Front edge of DETAIL B Drill x Ømm THRU HOLES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE SPATS. Drill HOLES to accommodate M x.mm long Button head screws. Step Bolt the wheel and bushes onto the fork using parts, & placing the washers part on the outside of the fork. Step Line up parts & (Part has pilot holes pre-drilled) tape the spats together, so that they are held in alignment. Step Drill through parts & from one of the pilot holes on part using a Ømm drill bit, then cleco the hole and check that the spats are still lined. Continue drilling,clecoing and checking the fit until all the Ømm holes shown in Detail B are done. 0 0 SMALLER DISTANCE LARGER DISTANCE Larger gussets face the rear of the plane A 0 0 DRILLING DETAIL (For tyre inflation access) ORIENTATION DETAIL Fit brackets like this Do not fit the bracket like this. Swop left- and right-hand brackets if you are getting this fit. Step Fit the M Button head screws through the spat Step Drill the pilot holes out to Ømm holes for the mounting brackets part & on parts &. Step Fit the M rivnuts part onto the spat bracket part. Use Loctite. Examine the Axle Assembly view below. Drill hole to fit mm grommet part. First disassemble the axle and brake caliper assembly. 0mm 0mm Slide plate A onto the axle. Fit the axle, plate A and wheel spat bracket part to the landing gear leg using hardware parts, &. Slide brake caliper assembly B into plate A. Step Examine Tyre and Spat Fitment view. Apply grease onto the inside wheel bearing (see previous page ) and fit it onto the wheel, then slide the tyre and wheel assembly onto the axle. Apply grease onto the outside bearing (see previous page ), then fit to the wheel. Fit spacer bush D, lining up the split pin hole with axle hole, then tighten the wheel nut and insert the split pin. Ensure that the visible part of the wheel bearing does not turn with the wheel. Next, tighten brake caliper assembly C onto brake caliper B. Step Loosely position and line up the main spat cover part onto the main spat part. There are markings on parts & indicating the positions for the M rivnuts part and buttonhead screws part. Drill mm holes through these markings (drill the two bottom holes first and secure each with a cleco when drilled, then continue drilling the remaining holes, securing each with a cleco when drilled). On part enlarge the holes with a mm drill. Fit M rivnuts to part. Use Loctite on all the rivnuts. There are markings on part indicating the positions for the M buttonhead screws part. Drill mm holes through these markings. Step Examine the Tyre and Spat Fitment view and fit part to the assembly using hardware part 0 &, in the indicated order. Use Loctite on the bolt.tighten the bolt firmly, but be careful not to overtighten. Fit the main spat cover plate part onto the main spat part and spat bracket using hardware items,, &. Use Loctite. 9 MAIN GEAR COMPOSITE Date: 0/0/0 Revision: 0 Note that the Main Gear Composite is molded and do not always level up upon completion when removed from the mould as this need some beveling / Filing at the top of the Main gear till it fits to the Gear Mounting Box Section. We confirmed with our Sub Assembly that trying to fit the Main Gear to the Fuselage by hand is not an easy task as they have used x M0 x 0 Allen Bolts and have sharpened the points to push through the holes of the Main Gear and The Gear Mounting Section to line up the holes and then push the Bolts through using the Pins as guides one by one as shown ON THE PREVIOUS PAGE PAGE. (DETAIL A) Also to take note of is that Gear Mounting Box Section is a Part that is Manufactured of level consistency and is not unequal or unleveled which also causes fitment conflict when fitting the Main Gear to the Gear Mounting Box Section as the Main Gear is not flush or level at the top Which would need some finishing for perfect alignment and fitment.
