1 Fitting Instructions: Street Triple Belly Pan Kit - A Thank you for choosing this Triumph genuine accessory kit. This accessory kit is the product of Triumph's use of proven engineering, exhaustive testing, and continuous striving for superior reliability, safety and performance. Completely read all of these instructions before commencing the installation of the accessory kit in order to become thoroughly familiar with the kit s features and the installation process. These instructions should be considered a permanent part of your accessory kit, and should remain with it even if your accessory equipped motorcycle is subsequently sold. This accessory kit is designed for use on Triumph Street Triple motorcycles only and should not be fitted to any other Triumph model or to any other manufacturers motorcycle. Fitting this accessory kit to any other Triumph model, or to any other manufacturers motorcycle, may interfere with the rider and could affect the handling, stability or other aspects of the motorcycles operation which may result in loss of motorcycle control and an accident. 2 Always have Triumph approved parts, accessories and conversions fitted by a trained technician of an authorised Triumph dealer. The fitment of parts, accessories and conversions by a technician who is not of an authorised Triumph dealer may affect the handling, stability or other aspects of the motorcycles operation which may result in loss of motorcycle control and an accident. A torque wrench of known accurate calibration must be used when fitting this accessory kit. Failure to tighten any of the fasteners to the correct torque specification may result in loss of motorcycle control and an accident. Throughout this operation, ensure that the motorcycle is stabilised and adequately supported on a paddock stand to prevent risk of injury from the motorcycle falling. 1. Clean the inner surface of the belly pan with the cleaning wipe provided, ensure it is thoroughly dry and free of any trace of oil or grease. Caution When fitting self adhesive parts care must be taken to ensure positioning is correct and accurate. Once the adhesive has been attached to the mounting surface, there is no satisfactory method of removal and repositioning if incorrectly aligned. Initial bonding is instant, full bonding is achieved after 72 hours. 2. Peel off the protective film from the front heat pad, a tab is provided to aid removal. 3. Attach the front heat pad to the inner surface of the belly pan, using the location lines as a guide. Ensure the curved edge of the pad is positioned as close as possible to the opening in the belly pan, as shown below. Repeat the procedure for the rear heat pad ensuring the curved edge of the pad is positioned as close as possible to the rear edge of the belly pan. 2. Front heat pad 3. Rear heat pad 4. Location lines, front heat pad 5. Location lines, rear heat pad 4. Apply firm and even pressure to the entire surface of each heat pad to ensure a good bond is achieved. 5. Fit the front left hand bracket to the mounting lug located on the left hand side of the engine casting, as shown below. The bracket must be pushed against its locating flange to ensure it is in the correct orientation. 2 of 5

3 6. Secure with a M6 x 25 screw provided. Tighten the screw to 9 Nm. For models without evaporative emissions control system: 9. Fit the rear left hand belly pan bracket to the vacant hole in the lower cross member as shown. The bracket must be positioned with its locating flange pushed against the lower cross member to ensure it is in the correct orientation. Secure with the M6x16 screw provided. Tighten the screw to 9 Nm. 1. Bracket, front left hand 2. Mounting lug, left hand 3. Locating flange, bracket 4. Screw, M6 x Fit the front right hand bracket to the mounting lug located on the right hand side of the engine casting, as shown below. The bracket must be pushed against its locating flange to ensure it is in the correct orientation. 8. Secure with a M6 x 25 screw provided. Tighten the screw to 9 Nm. 1. Bracket, rear left hand 2. Screw, M6 x Lower cross member 4. Locating flange, bracket 10. Go to step 13. For models with evaporative emissions control system: 11. Remove the screw fixing retaining the evaporative canister to the lower cross member. Retain the screw if the motorcycle is to be returned to the original condition. 1. Bracket, front right hand 2. Mounting lug, right hand 3. Locating flange, bracket 4. Screw, M6 x Evaporative canister 2. Screw fixing 12. Fit the rear left hand belly pan bracket to the lower cross member. Align the bracket with the evaporative canister bracket and cross member 3 of 5

4 mounting point as shown. The bracket must be positioned with its locating flange pushed against the cross member to ensure it is in the correct orientation. Secure with the M6 x16 screw provided. Tighten the screw to 9 Nm. 15. Loosely fit the belly pan fixing screws to the front left hand and right hand brackets. 1. Bracket, rear left hand 2. Evaporative canister bracket 3. Screw, M6 x Lower cross member 5. Locating flange, bracket 13. Fit the captive nuts provided onto the three belly pan brackets installed. 2. Screw fixing, left hand shown 16. Loosely fit the rear left hand belly pan screw. 17. At the right hand side rear belly pan mounting position, remove the protection plug from the hole in the outrigger. 18. Loosely fit the rear right hand belly pan screw through the bellypan and into the outrigger as shown. 1. Captive nut 2. Belly pan bracket, left hand front shown 14. Position the belly pan over the brackets ensuring the fixing holes align with the captive nuts on the brackets. 2. Screw 3. Outrigger 19. Check that the belly pan is positioned correctly on the motorcycle and does not foul any other component. When correct positioning is achieved tighten all belly pan fixings to 4 Nm. 20. Remove the paddock stand. 4 of 5

5 Failure to tighten any of the fasteners to the correct torque specification may result in loss of motorcycle control and an accident. After fitting the accessory kit the motorcycle will exhibit new handling characteristics. Operate the motorcycle in a safe area free from traffic to gain familiarity with any new characteristics. Operation of the motorcycle when not familiar with any new handling characteristics may result in loss of motorcycle control and an accident. If, after fitment of this accessory kit, you have any doubt about the performance of any aspect of the motorcycle, contact an authorised Triumph dealer and do not ride the motorcycle until the authorised dealer has declared it fit for use. Riding a motorcycle when there is any doubt as to any aspect of the performance of the motorcycle may result in loss of control of the motorcycle leading to an accident. Never ride an accessory equipped motorcycle (including those fitted with Triumph approved windscreens and luggage systems) at speeds above 80 mph (130 km/h). The presence of accessories will cause changes in the stability and handling of the motorcycle. Failure to allow for changes in motorcycle stability may lead to loss of control or an accident. Remember that the 80 mph (130km/h) limit will be reduced by the fitting of non-approved accessories, incorrect loading, worn tyres, overall motorcycle condition and poor road or weather conditions. The motorcycle must not be operated above the legal road speed limit except in closed course conditions. Only operate this Triumph motorcycle at high speed in closed-course on road competition or on closed course racetracks. High speed operation should only be attempted by riders who have been instructed in the techniques necessary for high speed riding and are familiar with the motorcycle s characteristics in all conditions. High speed operation in any other circumstances is dangerous and will lead to loss of motorcycle control and an accident. 5 of 5
