9 CONSTRUCTION The NF3 has a rugged, precision, low-profile design with die-cast aluminum housing including a one-piece, molded, weatherproof gasket. Heat and impact resistant polycarbonate prismatic lens resists discoloration. ILLUMINATION Fixtures are supplied with high powered Luxeon LEDs offering 7 watts or 10 watts of light output with a pure white color temperature of 5600K. Optical lenses on the LED module combined with the prismatic polycarbonate lens produce an optimized elongated pattern of light throughout the path of egress. The high-performance LEDs have an expected life over 50,000 hours with normal use. Lamps are connected in parallel if one lamp fails, the balance of the lamps will continue to operate. ELECTRICAL Input 120/277VAC, 50/60Hz Nickel Cadmium Battery NiCad (Standard) Exitronix nickel cadmium batteries are maintenance-free with a life expectancy of 15 years. Nickel cadmium batteries offer high discharge rates and continue to perform in a vast temperature range from 32 F F (0 C - 40 C). Nickel Metal Hydride Battery NiMH (Standard with CL option) Exitronix NiMH batteries are maintenance-free with a life expectancy of 15 years. NiMH batteries perform optimally in temperatures ranging from 32 F to 104 F (0 C to 40 C). Emergency The NF3 will operate for a minimum of 90 minutes during a loss of power with a 24 hour minimum recharge time for the battery. The power supply delivers a regulated current and voltage to LED lamps to optimize lamp life. A momentary test switch and LED charge indicator are included. Brownout Circuit The brownout circuit monitors the line voltage. As the line voltage sags and can no longer provide adequate voltage, the emergency lighting circuit will turn on to supply power to the emergency lamps for 90 minutes until the line voltage is restored. Low Voltage Disconnect Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) measures the battery terminal voltage and if it should fall below a preset voltage threshold, the LVD will disconnect the load. When the battery is recharging and voltage is raised above another preset threshold, the load is automatically reconnected. Solid-State Transfer The circuit features solid-state switching for emergency lamps, eliminating concerns of damaged contact or mechanical failures associated with relays. The switching circuit detects a loss of line voltage and automatically switches to emergency mode. Overload and Short-Circuit Protection The overload monitoring system in the DC circuit disconnects the lamp load from the battery should excessive wattage demands be made. INSTALLATION This NF3 emergency unit can be surface mounted utilizing a universal j-box mounting pattern and gasket, or by using the conduit entry point at the top of the fixture. Not suitable for ceiling mount applications. GUARDIAN SELF-TEST/SELF-DIAGNOSTICS (Option: G2) The Guardian circuit continuously monitors the operating condition of the AC power, battery supply voltage, emergency lamp continuity and charging circuit. The purpose of this option is to provide visual signaling in response to a possible fault. If a failure is detected, visual status will occur immediately via the CHARGER LED and/or the BATTERY FAULT LED. The LEDs will stay illuminated until the fault is corrected. The Guardian circuit also monitors the transfer circuit and performs automatic code compliant testing. The Guardian circuit will perform a 30 second discharge and self-test every days. A 90 minute discharge and self-test is performed every 6 months. PATHSAFE SECURITY LIGHTING/NIGHT LIGHT (Option: SEC) The PathSafe option allows the fixture to be used both as an emergency lighting fixture and security / night lighting fixture. Models with battery backup and the PathSafe option will operate each LED at 2 watts (SEC option) offering 50% output when in security lighting mode when connected to the active building AC supply and wired according to the installation instructions. The security lighting circuit is independent of emergency lighting and may be switched manually by exterior photocell (supplied by others) or other automatic means. COLD LOCATION RATED (Option: CL) The NF3 offers a cold location rating and extends the temperature range to -40 C 30 C. This is ideal for colder climates or freezer/cold room applications. Low Voltage Disconnect When the battery s terminal voltage falls below predetermined levels, the low-voltage circuit disconnects the emergency lighting load. The disconnect remains in effect until normal power is restored, preventing deep battery discharge and improving the life of the battery. The disconnect will also automatically reconnect the load circuit once the battery voltage returns to a normal value after charging. Test Button Test button is easy to locate and allows for manual verification of proper operation of the transfer circuit and emergency lamps. If a failure is detected, visual status will occur immediately via the CHARGER LED and/or the BATTERY FAULT LED. The LEDs will stay illuminated until the fault is corrected. The Guardian circuit also monitors the transfer circuit as well as performing automatic code compliance testing. The Guardian circuit will perform a 30 second discharge and self-test every days. Tool-less access provided for easy maintenance. ILLUMINATION Two fully adjustable, attractive lamp heads allow for maximum light to be delivered to the path of egress. 19 PRODUCT DATA Decora Wall Switch PIR Occupancy Sensor Specifically designed to meet the commercial needs of LED load requirements Industry exclusive High Inrush Stability (H.I.S.) circuitry for extended durability Industry exclusive dual PIR sensors provide optimum sensitivity and expanded occupancy detection ODS06 BASIC OPERATION The Leviton Decora Wall Switch Passive Infrared (PIR) Wall Switch Occupancy Sensor (ODS06) uses PIR detection technology to monitor a room for occupancy through a segmented Fresnel lens. This specialized lens divides the field-of-view into sensor zones. When a person passes into or out of a sensor zone, the sensor detects motion and switches the lights ON. The lights will remain ON as long as there is an occupant moving through the sensor zones. A delayed-off time adjustment prevents the lights from switching OFF when the space is occupied. In order to keep the lights ON, a person must pass through a sensor zone at least once during the selected delayed-off time interval. An LED indicator blinks each time the unit detects activity in the sensor zones. When the space being monitored by the sensor is unoccupied for the length of time chosen as the delayed-off interval, the sensor will turn the lights OFF. APPLICATIONS The ODS06 is used to provide automatic lighting control for energy savings and convenience in a variety of commercial applications including: Small offices Conference rooms Lounges Classrooms The ODS06 can be used for automatic switching of LED, incandescent lamps and fluorescent and low-voltage lighting with electronic or magnetic ballasts. 22 PRODUCT DATA INSTALLATION The ODS06 may replace a single-pole wall switch mounted in a standard wallbox. The unit must be properly grounded in order to operate. The unit s integral blinders may be used to restrict the fieldof-view to prevent unwanted detection of hallway traffic. It should be positioned at least 6 feet away from HVAC registers. 23 PAGE 1/4 OCCUANCY SENSOR WITH POWER PACK OAC-DT-1000 TYPE: COS DESCRIPTION The MicroSet self-adjusting technology continuously monitors multiple sub-frequencies in the event that if a continuous Doppler shift occurs, such as those created by airflow from an air duct, the sensor will identify the noise as continuous and then block it out of view at a select sub-frequency. It will continue to monitor other subfrequencies for human motion. This avoids false-activation, while still maintaining the high level of sensitivity that is necessary for sensing minor motion in a changing environment. Separate concurrent time delays for both Passive Infrared and Ultrasonic technologies avoid false activations or deactivations. In Automatic On Mode, the lights turn ON when a person enters the room. In Manual On Mode (-R model only), the lights are turned ON by activating a momentary switch (model # GMDS-*) that is connected to the sensor. When enabled, the daylighting feature (-R models only) prevents lights from turning ON when the room is adequately illuminated by natural light.
