Personal protection is increased, damage and downtime are for the most part avoided and costly repairs become a thing of the past. This ensures that operating and production processes run virtually trouble-free. A further argument in favour of this new, efficient door system: the high opening speed and above all the fast closing cycle mean that heat loss and draughts in the working environment are noticeably reduced. A maintenance-free system! 2 Rigid bottom profile. In the vertical direction the SoftEdge profile is incredibly flexible, so accidents causing injury to people or damage to property rarely occur. The vertical flexibility of the SoftEdge profile means that both goods and personnel are afforded greater protection. In the horizontal direction the multi-chamber, rib-reinforced profile ensures a high degree of stability. Wind pressures of up to 30 km/h pose no problem.

Thanks to the SoftEdge bottom profile with anti-crash system, Kaba offers the optimum solution: efficient and at the same time safe. That s why the KR530 SE door type is equipped with spring steel wind protectors to give the curtain the necessary stability. The speed of up to 3 m/s is achieved by the optional frequency converter control. Anti-crash system with automatic restart Thanks to the lightweight, highly durable curtain and the extremely flexible bottom section, the door is back operating again within seconds of a crash. Developed, built and certified in compliance with the Directives: EC Ex-protection 94/9EC and DIN EN Clean The clean-room door with the all-round pharmaceutical seal and stainless steel cladding can withstand pressures of up to 50 pascal. Cold The door for use in front of deep-freeze stores together with a suitable access door for pedestrian traffic. The side frames, operator, control box and shaft cladding can all be heated. Food In this special version, the shaft and operator cladding can be opened to facilitate cleaning. Water is not a problem for the door construction which is made entirely of stainless steel. Operator IP Large Doors A double tensioning belt and especially wide guide rails ensure reliable door travel even with a heavy curtain weight. The standard frequency converter control and double closing edge at the bottom profile guarantee that the closing forces are adhered to, providing the door with the required security. Escape Routes With its certified qualification for use in escape routes, these high-speed doors can also be integrated in escape route planning. Kaba recommend a detailed consultation to fully evaluate the best solution fort a specific application 9 The HSE recommends an electro-sensitive device such as a photocell onto posts positioned preferably no LESS than 0.9m. and no greater than 1m. away from the door line, to the front and to the rear of the door, with barriers between the door and the posts to prevent pedestrians entering the unprotected area other than through the photocell beam. Alternatively active presence sensors can be used above the door head to provide threshold safety zones. Every KWIKROLL model is also complete with 0-60 seconds adjustable timer return, with the door closing at only 0.5M per second, to allow safe movement away from the door prior to closing. The door system is further protected by a opto-dynamic bottom rail safety edge system that returns the door to the open position should it sense and obstruction when closing. PEDESTRIAN SAFETY WARNINGS Where Kwikroll Door use by pedestrians is not permitted and Stand-Off' Sensing Devices therefore are not required, the doorway should be clearly marked - "DANGER DOOR NOT FOR PEDESTRIAN USE" Please note that further safety systems are also available to suit particular applications.
