1 Truck 302 GPS Vendor 3 and Traditional Fuel receipts GPS Vendor 3 reports chronologically as truck travels the distance by state with odometer readings at the entry and exit of every state and the lat/lon coordinates. o Question: How would you recreate the route and verify distance assigned to each jurisdiction? Or, would the available information be acceptable and verifiable? There can be a difference between distance calculated by GPS coordinates and distance using odometer readings at jurisdiction borders. (In this case less than a 1% difference-see Summary tab of report) o Question: Which distance would be given preference in an audit? GPS Vendor 3 device broke down between /1/17-9/9/17 and no GPS data is available. o Question: What methods upon audit are acceptable to account for the gap in the distance by jurisdiction for this period? Route truck by fuel stops? Spread gap by historical proration of fleet/of truck? Spread gap based on current travel history of truck? Other? When missing distance is added to the record, the MPG becomes too high. o Question: Would an audit adjustment be appropriate? If so, what type of adjustment would be made?
