Dust-Tite housing shall be totally sealed from particulate entry. Housing shall not incorporate weep holes, wicks or any route for direct exchange with outside air. Lens assembly shall be accessible with a single tool. The EFX shall consist of a separate ballast housing and optical housing supported by common die-cast aluminum arms to form an integral but separate assembly ensuring longer life and cooler operation. Door Frame nd Lens ssembly Door frame shall be one piece die-cast aluminum secured by four captive stainless steel screws, and shall be retained by hinge for easy lamp access. Cored holes in door frame shall allow means of attachment for glare shield, auxiliary polycarbonate lens, barn doors, auxiliary lens frame and wireguard assembly. Optical Module Reflectors shall be made of high purity anodized aluminum. Multi-faceted segmented reflectors shall have minimum reflectivity of 94% and shall be made of Super Sheet with inorganic dielectric coating. Quick disconnect optical assembly shall be field-rotatable and exchangeable. Socket ll sockets shall be porcelain, grip-type, mogul base, 4KV (5KV for 1000W HPS) pulse-rated for 70 through 1000 watts. Ballast Ballast shall be high power factor with reliable starting down to -29 C (-20 F) for MH, -34 C (-30 F) for Pulse Start MH, and -40 C (-40 F) for HPS. Ballast has Class H 180 C (356 F) rated insulation. Crest factor does not exceed 1.8. Ballast assembly for EFX shall be unitized on heavy-duty mounting tray with quick disconnect plug to optical chamber, and terminal block for field connections. Encapsulated polyblock option may be specified to ensure quiet operation and maximum heat dissipation. Mounting Standard mounting for the EFX shall be provided in the ballast housing by means of a concealed, field-rotatable mastfitter, allowing different mounting profiles. Internal mastfitter shall be designed to fit either vertical or horizontal 2-3/8 O.D. tenon. Finish Standard finish shall be Textured Black UltraClad polyester powder coating, 2.5 mil nominal thickness, electrostatically applied and oven cured. ll components shall be thoroughly cleaned by a 5 stage pre-treatment process including iron phosphate bath and non-chromic acid etching stages, ensuring optimum performance characteristics.
