When installed on your trucks, the Hydra Bed provides any and every member of your crew the ability to safely and quickly lift, load, transport and unload heavy, bulky or awkward objects weighing up to 3,000 pounds, BY THEMSELVES! The 11 GPM, 2,500 PSI standard hydraulics coupled with the unique flush-mount material handler also provide them fingertip control of cable reel loading, transport and pay-out, post hole digging, material hauling and dumping, hydraulic tool use, as well as back-hoe bucket and attachment change-out support. This wide range of tasks never interferes with general use of the flatbed, including fifth-wheel trailer towing.

The Hydra Bed system equips us to rapidly respond to field issues by sending a single employee to the site. The bed s hydraulic lifting capabilities equip that operator to safely and quickly place pumping units, move materials and install or replace items safely with ease. Wire and poly spools are easily loaded, transported and dispensed, again by a single employee. The ability to effortlessly load and unload an ATV with no ramps or trailers makes day-to-day operations much more efficient. Often, we must go to our communication customer s storage yard which may be 5 to 20 miles away from the job site for additional reels of cable. In the past, we had to take a backhoe along on a trailer to load the reels, as these lots have no loading provisions. Now, we send one employee with any of our Hydra Line equipped trucks to the yard. He or she can easily, safely and securely load and transport the additional reels of cable we need to continue or finish a job using these Hydra Line machines. Once back at the job, we use these machines to string cable in or along trenches. The Hydra Line reel-handlers have been very dependable, easy to service and simple to operate. The workmanship and quality are excellent. We especially like the security that the removable control system supplied with the BD 2200 provides. The ability to carry a reel in the forward extended position while pulling our gooseneck trailers give us added versatility. These dependable machines easily handle other lifting jobs, including loading extra hoe buckets, etc. Tom Young, Young Backhoe & Trenching Seneca, Kansas Municipalities The City of Sabetha has been using Triple C s Hydra Beds since 1990 and every new pickup since has been outfitted with one. We have used the Hydra Beds inparks and Recreation, Street, Electrical, Water and Wastewater departments. Presently the Parks and Recreation and Street departments use the Hydra Beds for moving bleachers, picnic tables, soccer goals, barricades and many other large objects. For these departments, using the Hydra Beds relieves 1 to 2 men from each one of the above tasks. The Electrical department uses the Hydra Bed more than any other department. They use it to haul poles, load transformers, roll up wire, carry rolls of wire, and run all sorts of hydraulic tools. The Water and Wastewater departments use the Hydra Bed to haul pipe from site to site. They have devised a hydraulic valve opener which is used extensively. We are presently looking at purchasing some hydraulic pumps for water leaks that will work well with the Hydra Bed. We unroll all of our woven wire and barbed wire with the Hydra Bed. It really works well for laying down 5 strands of barbed wire in one pass.
