3 22-2 INFORMATION - INDUSTRIAL FITTINGS Industrial Hose Fittings - End Types and Attachments Industrial Hose Fittings Industrial fittings come in many styles, in an array of sizes and multiple ways to attach them to a hose. Unlike Hydraulic hose tails, Industrial hose tails take many different forms from smooth to barbed & some are even porous due to casting & machining quality. Hose tails & fittings are available in many different materials to suit all applications & media compatibility. Camlock Fittings Camlock Fittings are used as a means of quickly coupling small to large hose assemblies. They connect hose to hose or hose to a pipe system for the purpose of transferring liquids or dry bulk products. Camlock fasteners are categorized as: Type A, has a male grooved adapter and a female pipe thread (BSP or NPT thread) of the same size. Type B, has a female camlock end and a male pipe thread of the same size. Type C, has a female camlock on one end and a male hose tail on the other. Type D, has a female camlock end and a female pipe thread of the same size. Type E, has a male camlock on one end and a male hose tail on the other. Type F, has a male camlock adaptor and a male pipe thread of the same size. Type C, example shown Claw Coupler This fitting is designed for air and water service and provides a quick connection between two lengths of hose; or length of hose and a male or female NPT/BSP outlet.universal couplers are a sexless fitting as there is no male or female part just 2 mating halves. Most commonly used on hose lines connecting pneumatic tools to a compressed air source. Firmly pressing one coupler to another and twisting seals the connection and safety clips prevent accidental disconnection during use. There are 3 types of universal coupler Type A European standard Type B American standard Type S Australian standard None of the three types are interchangeable with each other.

Together with a comprehensive, internally developed fittings selection, BAUER today offers a complete pipe-system, even for the most demanding applications. The system is appreciated around the world, such as in the Australian mining industry, the construction and food products industries of America and naturally in all agricultural applications around the world, especially in Europe. Bandimex BANDIMEX BANDING is a flexible band clamping system which is available in various widths and in two material grades to suit a broad range of applications and environments. One of the key benefits of this system is the fact that the production of individual, strong and tailor-made clamps elimates the need for a large stock of different sized clamps. Using the Bandimex Tool, a roll of Bandimex Band and Bandimex Buckles, a clamp fitting each diameter and each shape can easily and quickly be applied at low cost. Bandimex continuous banding system connects clamps, fastens, secures or fixes hoses, pipes, cables, signs or boards. All Banding has full rounded edge for protection when handling and can be double wrapped to provide almost 4 times the radial compression of single banding ideal for all those heavy duty applications. Scru-Buckles are also available for installations that will require re-tensioning or where space is an issue and standard buckles can t be used. Scru-Buckles are re-usable. Super Clamps (Also known as Bolt Clamps) The bolt clamp is a heavy duty hose clamp usually made to DIN 3017 specifications and are designed primarily for use in applications where hose clamps must meet stringent requirements. In particular if suction and pressure hoses (complete with plastic or steel inserts and high shore hardness values) are to be connected and attached. The areas of application are: machinery industry, construction industry, municipal applications, use on road and sewer cleaning equipment, agricultural applications, irrigation and draining pipes, tankers, harvesting and pest control machinery, commercial vehicles and in the food and chemical industries. The assembly of a bolt clamp is easily completed by means of manual, pneumatic or electric standard tools. Worm Drive Clamps Worm drive clamps consist of a galvanized or stainless steel band into which a screw thread pattern has been cut or pressed. One end of the band contains a captive screw. The clamp is put around the hose or tube to be connected, with the loose end being fed into a narrow space between the band and the captive screw. When the screw is turned, it acts as a worm drive pulling the threads of the band, causing the band to tighten around the hose (or when screwed the opposite direction, to loosen). Screw clamps are normally used for hoses 1/2 in diameter and up, with other clamps used for smaller hoses.
