2 MEMORANDUM TO: FROM: SUBJECT: Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTWs), Towns, and other Interested Parties Cathy Robinson, Capacity Development Coordinator 2001 Sewer Rate Survey We are pleased to present the 2001 Sewer Rate Survey. Section I is a directory of facilities, contact people, organizational structure, type of treatment, and number of customers. Section II provides information on rate structure, special fees, and average residential user rates. The goal of this survey is to provide a reference guide and a source of comparison for wastewater facilities and communities around the state. While individual rates and fees are based on unique sets of cost factors, facilities are often curious about how their rates compare to their neighbors and to similar type and size facilities. Many thanks to all of you who took the time to complete this survey. We plan on updating the results annually. We also appreciate the support we have received from the Maine Municipal Bond Bank.
