1 Installation Guide for O-SO PURE s Mineral Mizer Installation Guide for Mineral Mizer Before you begin 1. The main components to identify include: the and its associated DI Storage Tank and RED faucet. the Installation Kit, a plastic bag of parts required for installation. 2. Some fittings have a RED locking clip in place. These clips MUST be removed before installing the tubing and must be re-installed after the new length of tubing is put into place. Please refer to the John Guest Super Speedfit instruction sheet later in this document. 3. After cutting to the appropriate length, connect the to the DI Storage Tank with an attached WHITE ¼ tube per the photo. 12. After cutting to the appropriate length, connect the to the RED faucet with an attached WHITE ¼ tube per the photo. 13. After cutting to the appropriate length, connect the to the drain saddle with the attached BLACK ¼ tube (see page 5). Initial Startup 14. Check the clear filter housings to ensure that the two DI filters are not yet installed. 15. Turn the DI Storage Tank s valve OFF per the photo. Page 1 of 7

2 16. Turn on the cold water supply and turn the saddle valve to the ON (out) position. 17. Check the and the DI storage tank for leaks. 18. The RO membrane must be flushed of its chemical preservative by making approximately 5 gallons of water. This water is unusable and must be discarded. To do this, simply open the RED faucet by pushing the valve lever up. Water will begin to trickle from the faucet after first filling the filter housings. 19. After two hours have elapsed, turn off the water supply to the by turning the saddle valve to the OFF (in) position. Water will stop trickling from the faucet. Production Startup 20. Remove the s right two filter housings, dump out the water and install the two included DI filters. Make sure the housings are snug but do not over tighten. 21. Turn the DI Storage Tank s valve ON per the photo. 22. Turn ON the water supply to the by turning the saddle valve to the ON (out) position. Water will again trickle from the faucet. 23. Push the slide switch on the DM1 DUAL TDS METER to the OUT position and then turn on the meter by pushing the ON/OFF switch. The meter will display the status of the water s mineral content, expressed in parts per million (PPM) of total dissolved solids (TDS). This number will normally be in the range. If the number is higher than 004, continue to allow water to trickle from the faucet until the display is consistently in the range. This should take no more than a few minutes. 24. Close the RED faucet by pushing the valve lever down. The will continue to produce water, filling the DI storage tank. This will take 1 3 hours depending on the size of the storage tank. 25. 7 O-SO PURE 1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY Installation Guide for Mineral Mizer For the following systems: (DWS-008, DWS-DDI, DWS-POE,, DWS-HERO) O-SO PURE warrants this device to be free from defects in workmanship and material under normal usage and service from date of purchase as follows: All components are warranted for a period of (1) year, with the following exceptions: Filters UV lamp This Warranty excludes damages that, in the opinion of O-SO PURE, have been caused by improper installation, alteration, misuse, accident or negligence. Repairs must be performed by an O-SO PURE authorized agent with parts obtained from O-SO PURE. O-SO PURE will not warrant component parts supplied by manufacturers who provide separate warranties for their merchandise. However, O-SO PURE will contact the representative manufacturer on your behalf. O-SO PURE reserves the right to make revisions to the design or manufacturing of this model without obligation to owners of this product. O-SO PURE will not be liable to perform its obligations under this Warranty if such obligations result from: 1. Improper installation or unauthorized alteration. 2. Misuse or negligence. 3. Accident or excessive wear.. 4. Damage or use with any products not intended for its use. 5. Exposure to the elements, including: direct sunlight, excessive heat, freezing temperatures, humidity or rainfall. 6. Are the result of (but not limited to) acts of God, labor disputes, transportation strikes, or any conditions beyond control of O-SO PURE. O-SO PURE will not guarantee a kill rate above 80% without properly maintaining your filters and UV lamp. Failure to change UV lamp and filters WILL void the manufacturer warranty, or if filters or UV lamps are purchased from another source other than O-SO PURE, ANY and ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT BE BACKED BY THE MANUFACTURER.
