To prevent engine block damage, both fuel pump tappets must be replaced soonest. Engines must be reworked before delivery. For engines already in service, priority must be given to the ones with high mileages. In case surface damage on the fuel pump camshaft is experienced (scratches which can be felt with a finger nail), DAF Trucks must be contacted to define next steps. Use a marker. - Fill in the batch number (see picture 2 below) of the fuel pump tappet in the table below.
