3 EXTENDED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS GENERAL INFORMATION Doosan Benelux S.A. ( DOOSAN ) offers to its dealers additional extended warranty coverage according to the terms and conditions contained in the Doosan Extended Warranty Policy ( Extended Policy ). Doosan reserves the right to refuse any element of the warranty if it deems at its sole discretion that the terms and conditions and warranty processes laid down in the Extended Policy have not been adhered to. This manual may be revised to reflect changes in policies and procedures as they occur. This manual supersedes all previously published Extended Warranty policies and procedures. 4 EXTENDED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS EXTENDED WARRANTY: TERMS & CONDITIONS 1. TERMS AND COVERAGE TYPES For a fee to be paid by the dealer, DOOSAN would provide one of the following extended warranty plans. Extended programmes are available for purchase through the Doosan Online Store ( Coverage type Covered Total months covered* Total operating hours covered* Standard Extension Parts, Labour & Mileage Standard Extension Parts, Labour & Mileage Standard Extension Parts, Labour & Mileage Standard Extension Parts, Labour & Mileage Protection Plus Parts, Labour & Mileage Protection Plus Parts, Labour & Mileage Protection Plus Parts, Labour & Mileage Protection Plus Parts, Labour & Mileage Power Train Parts only Power Train Parts only *Including standard warranty period All maintenance and repairs of a machine covered by a Standard Warranty Extension and Protection Plus must be made by a Doosan recognised dealer using Doosan genuine spare parts and consumables purchased from Doosan. Subscription for Protection Plus requires a signed copy of the Maintenance Contract and the acceptance of DOOSAN at the time of the request in the Doosan Online Store. Doosan will, at any time, cancel the warranty extension, without providing any refund, if the maintenance contract was not provided. Doosan Benelux S.A

5 EXTENDED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS A Maintenance Contract is defined as a signed service level agreement between dealer and endcustomer guaranteeing the equipment to be serviced according to DOOSAN prescribed intervals and specifications referred to in the DOOSAN Operation and Maintenance Manual. Parts, Labour & Mileage represent Full Coverage of the equipment components. The warranty period detailed above in months or hours, whichever occurs first, applies as from the date of delivery of the machine to the first end-user. Dealer rental fleet units are fully eligible for all coverage types. Machines working in forestry and demolition applications are excluded from any of the extended warranty plans. The following models are not eligible to be covered by any of the extended warranty plans: DX300 DX225SLR DX520SLR DEM DX160WR DX340 DX255SLR DX190MH DEM DX700W DX420 DX300SLR DX210MH DEM Except where the present policy provides for different rules, the Standard Warranty Policy of DOOSAN applies to the Extended Warranty. 6 EXTENDED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2. APPLICABLE MODELS The models eligible to be covered by an extended warranty plan are identified on the extended warranty price list displayed in the Doosan Online Store ( 3. COVERAGE Extended warranty applies to failures found during the coverage period due to a defect in material and/or workmanship. DOOSAN shall in no event be liable for any other losses, damages, costs or expenses claimed by the end-user, including but not limited to loss from failure of the machine to operate for any period of time, property damage and all other direct, indirect, special incidental or consequential damages, whether arising under contract, warranty negligence, strict liability or any other legal theory whatsoever. Components covered or not covered Please refer to individual product component lists attached to the present policy. Any component not mentioned in the included sections is by definition excluded. General exclusions: Maintenance parts: oil, coolant, additives, lubricants, fluids, belts, filters & filter elements, additives, breathers Wear parts: including but limited to fuses, wiper blades, lamps & light bulbs, paint, labels Components failing due to normal wear and tear Components covered by other manufacturers warranty (including but not limited to Cummins engines, tyres,...) Conditions covered or not covered The machine must not have been neglected, misused or modified out of the manufacturer s written recommended specification. The machine must have been serviced as recommended in the owner s manual and using only genuine DOOSAN parts. Machine must be serviced by an authorised Doosan Dealer and Doosan Benelux S.A

7 EXTENDED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS trained personnel. Machines working in forestry and demolition applications are excluded from any of the extended warranty plans. Replacement or rebuild or parts and/or components required because they have exceeded their expected life, due to normal wear and tear, does not constitute a defect in material or workmanship. Therefore, such repairs are not covered under extended warranty. Limitations DOOSAN reserves the right to request at any point proof of compliance with maintenance intervals (customer invoice mentioning machine serial number, machine hours and maintenance description and/or dealer work order for maintenance performance). Failure to provide requested documentation will result in non-acceptance of the extended warranty claim. DOOSAN reserves the right to request failed parts to be returned to DOOSAN for inspection and analysis. Failure to return the parts when specifically requested by DOOSAN will result in non-acceptance of the extended warranty claim. DOOSAN reserves the right to request detailed failure information including troubleshooting data and DMS output data. Failure to provide requested information when specifically requested by DOOSAN will result in non-acceptance of the extended warranty claim. No coverage will be honoured if the defect has been caused, in whole or in part, by the fitting of any service part or attachment not manufactured or approved in writing by DOOSAN. Details of any attachments and modifications made to the machine by the dealer must be registered with DOOSAN. Cancellation Doosan will cancel the extended warranty in the following situations: Failing to maintain the machine in accordance with the instructions of the Operation and Maintenance Manual. Failing to ensure maintenance and service is performed by an authorised DOOSAN Dealer. Failing to provide required oil sampling on specific DOOSAN request. Any alteration or modification to the machines affecting function and/or any component, without prior written approval by DOOSAN. Failing to use the machine according to DOOSAN s utilisation specifications (e.g. operation of the unit above the designed and specified capacity of the unit). Use of non-genuine DOOSAN parts and/or components. Operating the machine with contaminated fuel, oil, coolants or filters. Failing to notify within 72 hours indications of potential failure (e.g. improper machine operation, oil analysis indication or complaints from customer). Doosan Benelux S.A

8 EXTENDED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS Failing to pay the extended warranty invoice within the dealer payment conditions. In the above-mentioned cases, the dealer will not be entitled to request any partial or full reimbursement of the price of the extended warranty. 4. REPLACEMENT PARTS DOOSAN parts used for warranty repairs are covered for the remaining term of this extended warranty (or duration of the six months Parts coverage, whichever occurs first). 5. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY The dealer will make sure that the product is delivered in good condition and that the conditions of the programme as well as the customer responsibilities are conveyed to the customer. The dealer agrees to instruct and train the customer on daily maintenance operation. The dealer agrees to ensure that the machine was sold in the correct application and used within designed capacity and specification. 6. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY The Customer agrees to maintain the machine as per the latest available published DOOSAN operation and maintenance information. The Customer agrees to notify the Dealer promptly (by fax, or by telephone) of any machine abnormalities. The Customer agrees to use only genuine DOOSAN parts, supplied through a DOOSAN Dealer, in the normal maintenance and repair of the machine for the terms of this extended warranty. Machine transportation costs and other related expenses are the end-user's responsibility (e.g. downtime compensation, hire facility, replacement machine costs, ). The customer agrees to correctly operate the machine in an application approved by DOOSAN. Doosan Benelux S.A

9 EXTENDED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS 7. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE At the time of delivery to the first end-user, the dealer must fully explain the terms and conditions of the standard and extended warranty coverage to the customer. The machine inspection check book must be signed by the dealer representative and the customer at the time of machine delivery. Delivery reports must be submitted online in the DOOSAN Online Warranty System (IRW) section within 5 days of delivery of the unit to the end-customer. Dealer must inform the customer of what is exactly covered. The Extended Warranty must be submitted online via the Doosan Online Store ( to the DOOSAN Customer Service Department within 30 days of delivery date ( = physical retail date of the machine to the first end-user; the delivery date is displayed in the IRW system ). Any Protection Plus registration requests must be accompanied by a copy of the Maintenance Agreement that was signed between the End-Customer and the Dealer. The extended warranty plan can be purchased only after the delivery report has been submitted. Dealer has a RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL of at least 30 calendar days, starting from the day of the purchase of the extended package; this gives the opportunity to return the item without any obligations. If Dealer would like to make use of the right of withdrawal, it must request this to Doosan via within 30 calendar days from the invoice date of the extended warranty plan. In such event, Doosan will reimburse the full amount paid by the dealer. For any cancellation requested after this period, the dealer is not entitled to request any partial or full reimbursement of the price of the extended warranty. 8. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE The warranty claim submission must be in accordance with the standard procedure as described in the DOOSAN Standard Warranty Policy Manual. The warranty claim, referring to the standard time and to any of the extended warranty plan period, must be submitted through the online Warranty System (IRW). Any procedural questions in connection with warranty claims should be addressed to the Warranty Department. Doosan Benelux S.A

COMPENSATION Parts, labour and mileage costs (depending on the chosen coverage type) will be compensated at the standard warranty rate and on the condition that the warranty claim complies with the conditions as outlined in the DOOSAN Standard Warranty Policy Manual. The standard warranty rates are applicable to the following plans: Standard extension (Parts, labour and mileage costs) Power Train (Parts only) The compensation will be made according to the standard warranty scheme: Labour and mileage will be reimbursed at Standard Rates Parts as per Doosan invoice price (refer to Claim Reimbursement in the Standard Warranty Policy Manual). The Protection Plus compensation will be made as follows: First year, it will follow the standard warranty scheme As of the second year till the end of the coverage: o Labour and mileage will be reimbursed at 100% of the full shop rate o Parts at Dealer Net price + 33% 10. TRANSFER OF EXTENDED WARRANTY A remainder of the extended warranty (Standard Extension, Protection Plus and Power Train) coverage can be transferred to another customer, provided that the new end-customer is able to provide proof of the remaining warranty coverage noted on his purchase invoice. Transfer of the extended warranty is only possible when proof can be provided that all required maintenance has been completed by the original DOOSAN dealer according to schedule. An Equipment Transfer Report (ETR) must be filled out on the online Warranty System, IRW ( Should there be any dealer rental unit covered by Protection Plus and sold to a second owner, it is the dealer s obligation to ensure a signed maintenance contract covering the rest of the extended warranty period. If no agreement is provided, Doosan can cancel the plan, with no refund, at any time. DOOSAN has the option to inspect the unit prior to approval as well as the option to reject any warranty transfer request. In this case, neither the former owner nor the new owner are eligible for a partial or full reimbursement of the price of the extended warranty. Doosan Benelux S.A
