1 Page 0 Welcome to the NAPA U-joints by SKF product overview presentation. Over the next few minutes we ll be reviewing the product line content, features and benefits, and general information on this new line for NAPA.

3 Page 2 SKF has a long track record selling premium u-joints, over 29 years. The SKF brand is recognized as a premium quality product.

4 Page 3 The SKF universal joints are Premium quality parts manufactured by the largest u-joint manufacturer in the world. Every part in our line is made to meet or exceed original equipment specifications. Each part is precision manufactured to provide reliable performance and maximum service life. Our manufacturer sells to most premier OE and Aftermarket companies.

5 Page 4 The SKF universal joints were thoroughly tested to verify that they are true Premium quality parts. The Ultimate Strength Test is a destructive test where the u-joint is twisted until it breaks. SKF u-joints exceed the OE torque factor (torque required to break the part) SKF u-joints torque factor was higher than several competitors (OE, GMB Premium, Moog, Neapco, SKF & Spicer parts were tested) The Torsional Fatigue Test is a destructive test where the u-joint is twisted back and forth at 5 Hz (5 times per second) until it breaks. The acceptance test level is 500,000 cycles SKF u-joints passed the acceptance test (stopped at 501,000, just like the OE part) The Metallurgical Evaluation compares the steel chemistry, microstructure and hardness of the components. All u-joints compared were basically the same

7 Page 6 For car, light and medium duty truck applications, we have a full offering of standard u-joints, Brute Force high performance u-joints and miscellaneous components and hardware.

8 Page 7 In the standard range we offer both greaseable and nongreaseable u-joints, as well as u-joints for vehicles with an aluminum drive shaft. We also offer the Brute Force universal joint, which is a high performance part that is designed for higher horsepower and torque applications and extreme conditions.

12 Page 11 All car, light and medium duty truck u-joints are fully greased with the grease fitting installed where applicable. And, they re coated with rust inhibitor and packed in a plastic bag to keep the product factory fresh until installation.

13 Page 12 For heavy duty truck applications, we have a full offering of standard u-joints that fit over 99% of all the vehicles registered in North America.

21 Page 20 All standard sized u-joints come in a full color graphic box. All large u-joints come in a white kraft box with an SKF label on the end tab. Most ag and PTO parts are no packaged in a box due to their size, so just a part number label is affixed on them.

22 Page 21 We re-designed the boxes to make sure the parts stay in the box; no worries about parts breaking out of the box and getting damaged before installation.

23 Page 22 Almost all u-joints are laser marked with the SKF identification.

24 Page 23 The new line has a new part numbering system. Most are based on the Precision/Moog number (Automotive market share leader). Most Ag & Industrial are based on the Neapco number.

26 Page 25 A new catalog goes with the new line. The new u-joint catalog number is , it s a 2016 edition. There will be a separate catalog for Ag & Industrial applications. ETA is early May. All application information is in the ecats (Epicor & Wrenchead) as of December 2015.
