1 TG1Y (499) TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS SPLIT SYSTEM HEAT PUMPS Models Ø 036, 048 3Ø ERA Series 10 SEER Single and Three Phase Models ERA 018 thru ERA090 Nominal Capacity: 18 thru 90 MBH Models 060, 090 3Ø DESCRIPTION The ERA series heat pumps are designed for use with a variety of YORK evaporator sections to suit any need for both single and three phase applications. A full line of matching Add-On Coils are available for use with upflow, downflow or horizontal furnaces. Matching Air Handlers are also available for upflow, downflow or horizontal installation to provide a complete system. 1 & 3Ø electric heat may be installed in both single piece and modular air handlers. All units are factory charged to assure easy installation. FEATURES DURABLE CONSTRUCTION - The outdoor unit is constructed of pre-painted steel that offers tough protection against corrosion and resists fading when exposed to sunlight. Drain holes are incorporated into the base pan to permit free drainage of moisture. PROTECTED COMPRESSOR - The hermetic compressor is internally protected against high pressure and temperature by the simultaneous operation of a high pressure relief valve, high pressure cutout control and temperature sensors which stop the compressor if operating temperatures go too high. All protectors reset automatically. The heat pump control locks the compressor out. QUALITY COIL - The coil is constructed of copper tube and hardened black coated aluminum fins for durability and long lasting efficient operation. Coil guard provides additional protection when installed in a heavy traffic area. TIME TEMPERATURE DEFROST CONTROL - Provides defrost including field selectable time periods between cycles (30, 60, 90 minutes). LED lockout indicator, anti-short cycle timer protection are also provided. LOW OPERATING SOUND LEVEL - The compressor is mounted on rubber isolators to reduce operating sounds. The slow moving condenser fan keeps air turbulence and sound to a low level. EASY SERVICE ACCESS - Fully exposed refrigerant connections, a single panel covering the electrical controls and the molex plug in the control box connecting the condenser fan, make for easy servicing of the unit. SECURED SERVICE VALVES - Secured re-usable service valves are provided on both the liquid and vapor sweat connections for ease of evacuating and charging. EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) is the total cooling output in BTU s at a 95 F outdoor ambient divided by the total electric power in watthours at those conditions. SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) is the total cooling output in BTU s during a normal annual usage period for cooling divided by the total electric power input in watt-hours during the same period. 1 TXV = Thermal Expansion Valve kit required. Use 1TV700 series kit. Must be used with Hard Start Assist kit. (Hard Start not required on units with scroll compressors.) 2 To meet R=4.2 insulation requirements, substitute F2FP FOR F2RP models. All ratings remain the same. 3 P3HU, P3DN, P3UR furnaces and F2RP air handlers have B.O.D. standard. 4 Single phase units require single phase 2HK heaters Three phase units require three phase 2HK heaters.
