3 Edge Features & Benefits Molded Ultrafoam : Our exclusive, molded, high-resilient, Ultrafoam is produced in our own facility in Senatobia, MS. It is density controlled for years of superior service and treated with fire retardant chemicals. Ultrafoam has a limited lifetime warranty when used in a single shift application. Modified Tractor Seat: No more costly up charges for ergonomic performance. Edge chairs are standard with an ergonomically correct modified tractor seat with a waterfall seat front for all day comfort. Inner and Outer Backs: Constructed of multi-contoured molded polypropylene the outer back has a highly resilient pebble texture and a unique ergonomic design shape. The inner back is molded polypropylene with built in fasteners inside the unit for a custom fit with the outer shell. Internal Back Height Mechanism: This is a standard on all models. The ratchet mechanism allows for 2.5 travel up or down with 7 locking positions. The ratchet allows the user the ability to adjust the back height while seated by simply lifting on the back. No more standing, bending or straining to adjust your chairs lumbar position. Internal Seat: The internal seat is molded multicontoured 9 ply 1/2 thick molded plywood. The seat is standard with metal to metal fasteners installed to insure a superior metal to metal connection at all mechanism and arm attachment points. Bases: Distinctive high profile composite bases provide design, versatility, and function without sacrificing integrity. All bases are structurally reinforced and are standard with 55mm reinforced heavy duty casters for years of service. Cylinders: Class 4 heavy duty cylinders are standard on all Edge chairs. Class four cylinders hold loads in excess of 440 lbs. E91 side tension posture back mechanism with a 2.5 to 1 seat to back ratio. Unique side tension adjustment handle. The same tension handle also activates the pneumatic cylinder. Five position back lock feature. E54 asynchronous multi function task mechanism with auto style seat slider underneath seat front. Independent seat angle handle and separate infinite back angle adjustment handle. E51 synchro task mechanism allows seat and back angle with a single lever at a 2 to 1 ratio. Seat and back adjustment lock. Tension control knob. Seat and back moves as one unit at a 2 to 1 ratio in the unlock position. E95 swivel tilt mechanism with tension control knob.
