International Zone NSTR BIAP Summary Key Developments: U.S. civilian officials have been barred from road travel in Iraq outside Baghdad's heavily fortified Green Zone because of possible attacks after a deadly shooting incident on 17 Sep involving American security firm Blackwater. Embassy officials that due to the temporary suspension of Blackwaters licence, all US civilian and diplomatic movements are restricted to the 'International' Zone which also gives them time to review their own mission security procedures and practice. On the other hand, more talks are expected on the different laws currently in place at the moment governing the operations of security contracts and contractors.
