6 Cambodia s solar Map A map showing geographical distribution of yearly average daily global radiation in Cambodia (2008) The yearly map reveals that the south eastern part of the country receives the highest solar radiation with the yearly average daily radiation in the Range of MJ/m 2 day The Solar radiation averaged over the country is found to be 18.3 MJ/m 2 day. 7 Lao People s Democratic Republic solar Map A map showing geographical distribution of yearly average daily solar radiation over Lao PDR (2007) MJ/m 2 day From the yearly map, it was observed that the western parts of the country received high solar radiation with the values of MJ/m 2 day. The areas which receive the highest solar radiation are in the south with the values of MJ/m2 day. The yearly average of solar radiation for the entire country was found to be 15.8 MJ/m 2 day. 8 Myanmar s solar Map A map showing geographical distribution of yearly average daily solar radiation over Myanmar (2009) From the yearly map, it can be seen that the central plain of the country including Mandalay Division, Sagaing Division and Magway Division receive high solar radiation (18 22 MJ/m 2 day) for almost the whole year. 20 Demonstration of Solar Crop Dryers for Lao People s Democratic Republic Three types of solar crop dryers were improved in the project. These are roof integrated solar dryer, greenhouse solar dryer and side loading solar tunnel dryer. The dryer were constructed at Champasak Agriculture and Forestry College in Pakxe, southern Loa PDR. 26 Solar Power Potential and Opportunity in Vietnam ACO Investment Group is seeking to build Vietnam s first utility scale solar farm in June A 50 megawatt solar power farm in central Binh Thuan province - ACO Investment Group working with the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) - Add this project to the national electricity master plan - many domestic and foreign investors had expressed interest in investing into solar power in this province

27 Myanmar: 210 MW solar plant in the planning Minbu According to various media, US$275 million is expected to be invested in the development of a solar power plant in Minbu, Myanmar.
