9 2 SINGLE COMPONENTS Chain guide Drive and reversing chain wheels Chain guides are used under severe environmental conditions, when one chain strand is not loaded, when the chain is prone to jumping off the sprocket wheel, to ensure smooth running of the chain over the sprocket wheel. Case hardened pocket wheels are optimally designed to work with chain and guarantee long life and silent running. Differences of the two executions: Milled chain guide, radialy divided Laser cut chain guide, radialy divided and idler wheels can be manufactured for single and multiple chain strand configurations. Available on request for all chain sizes from TEC 6 to TEC 260. The selection of the chain guide depends on the application and the operation environment.
