4 The Thunder winches feature water-proof 6 and 6.8 horsepower motors which offers high power, with lower current draw. This is due to the effectiveness of the waterproof planetary gearbox. Thicker torsion bars help alleviate the risk of your winch binding up in high torque situations. 6 Dyneema rope adds improved safety over wire cable by not recoiling back at the vehicle should it break under load, but instead dropping to the ground almost immediately. 7 The Thunder standard and offset hawse fairleads are essential if using a synthetic rope as they avoid rope being caught between the rollers of fairleads designed for wire cable.
