Contact Us Welcome to the Autumn edition of the Wickham Flower Newsletter. I hope everyone had a well-deserved break after the longer than expected harvest, but it was fantastic to see some of the great results from around the region. Lucindale Field Days are fast approaching and we hope to see you at our site. We will have a good range of machinery & vehicles on display, so make sure you check out some of the fantastic offers which will be available. Feel free to drop in and relax for a chat with our usual free tea & coffee. This year we will also have a jumping castle available for the kids. Many of you will be aware of our Customer Trip to Canada & USA in August this year. We currently still have some seats available. If you are interested in going or would like more information, please contact Leigh Muster or any salesman at one of our branches. Early April will see the release of the all New Mazda CX-5. With a great new look, this model will host extra safety features and I m sure it will continue to be the most popular SUV on the market. We will also see new Nissan Pathfinder & updated X-Trail which will be available in the coming weeks. John Deere have just released an industry first carbon fibre boom for their 4000 series self-propelled sprayers. This machine will appeal to all farmers with huge weight saving, added strength and it won't rust or corrode. For more information, please contact one of our salesman. The long awaited new 5R tractor is not far away. This premium spec compact tractor is ideal for vineyards and we are currently taking orders. Even though harvest has just finished, now is the ideal time to book your header in for a preseason check over. Everyone's harvester did a lot of hours in some tough conditions, so contact any of our service managers to make a booking. We are excited to announce that John Deere parts now have 12 months warranty if fitted by one of our trained technicians, or 6 months if fitted by anyone else. 2 STAFF & CUS WELCOME TO WICKHAM FLOWER Wickham Flower would like to welcome and introduce you to the newest team members at Bordertown Vehicles Samantha Hunt and Jesse Partridge. Sammi started in February, working in the Spare Parts Department, taking over Jayde Barton's role as Jayde has relocated to the Spare Parts Department at the Bordertown Ag Branch. Jesse started in January assisting with tyre fitting and car detailing. We would also like to introduce you to our newest Bordertown Ag employees Liam Fabris and Brooke Woodman. Liam began work in January as a general hand in the workshop. Brooke took on the role of Administration and Marketing in November, while Erin Hurtig has moved back into the Service Department. At Naracoorte Ag, Hamish Cox and Darcy Wilson began their careers as Apprentice Diesel Mechanics, both starting in January. 3 OMER NEWS CONGRATULATIONS Congratulations to Glen Simpson, the lucky winner of a motorised toy gator. Glen went in to the draw to win after he completed and returned our John Deere Customer Satisfaction Survey. APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR Automotive Technician Dylan Francis has been awarded the Apprentice of the Year award. Dylan is pictured above with Bordertown Vehicles Branch Manager, Mark Verco. This year, our HR Manager Andrew Hurtig and our Sales Support Administrator Laetitia Parsons are participating in the ride. All funds raised go to the Bordertown Health and Community Foundation, which distributes money each year to purchase vital equipment for the Bordertown Hospital. Josh

4 SALES REPORT BORDERTOWN AG NARACOORTE AG KEITH The 2016/17 harvest has been the busiest harvest in some time. Generally speaking, yields were above average, but not prices. All said and done it was a solid year, and enquiry is on the up. We have traded some good quality second hand harvesters and the workshop has been putting seeding plant together for the coming seeding season. The massive stubble residue levels have helped our sales of K-Line speedtillers and Kelly Disc chains. Both products are doing an impressive job of lightening the stubble loads. Sprayer enquiry is very solid, with both Goldacres and John Deere products in short supply, so get in fast! We have two seeding bars available for this coming season the ever popular John Deere 40ft 1870 conservapac bar and a 60ft 1890 Disc Seeder. Come in and see Chris or Duncan with all your agricultural enquiries. Wickham Flower Bordertown Team 2017 has got off to a very busy start with hay and harvest taking a lot longer than the previous few seasons. It s good to see some good yields and quality just not so good prices. In the dealership we have been busy with forward orders on hay equipment for next season. We are excited to see our first new Macdon mower conditioner with the inline transport kit when it arrives mid year. The John Deere 960 baler we demonstrated throughout the district proved to be liked by all who tried it with some very positive feedback. K-line Speedtillers have been a hit this year with demand out sourcing supply at the moment. We have a good range of tractors in stock at present with a super hot package deal on 6110M tractors and loaders arriving just in time for the field days; make sure you come and inquire about this. We hope to have a new K-line/Gason airseeder package on display at Lucindale which should suit a large number of our broad acre and grazier farms. John Deere has just released the new 5R tractor for our vineyard operators. We have been eagerly awaiting this tractor and it looks to tick all the boxes. We hope our vignerons have a good vintage and look forward to an good break in the season. Wickham Flower Naracoorte Team ANDREW S SAFETY TIP 2017 is now upon us! Let s hope we can back up the solid rainfall from last year. The branch has been very busy in all departments. The service department has a new service trailer coming soon. We are very excited to provide better field servicing for customers. I hope everybody had an opportunity to have a break over the last couple of months. The Farmers Guidebook is a revision of the previous 2011 guide produced by the South Australian Farmers Federation and the South Australian Dairy-farmers Association. The guide contains valuable information for everyone on the land.
