The testing and tightening of all parts detailed in the maintenance plan must be explained. It is unacceptable to advise customers to take the machine to a workshop every 50 hrs to clean the cooling cell (air-conditioning) (6-7); either the maintenance interval must be extended or the customer should be provided with suitable information to carry out the necessary maintenance. The testing and tightening of the wheel fastening bolts (6-2) must be explained at least the correct tightening torque should be given. Recommendations: It is recommended to synchronize the maintenance interval for oil change and lubrication: a basic interval of 500 hrs and appropriate sub-intervals of 50 hrs. The maintenance interval of 300 hrs should be synchronised with the guarantee inspection after 200 hrs. Basically only a regular maintenance interval of 300 hrs should be used and it should not be necessary to keep two maintenance lists. The operator s manual should be re-structured according to DIN EN and ISO For ergonomic reasons all handles should have a diameter of at least 25mm. The emergency exit cotter pins are very tight when the window catch is closed. This should be changed (take into account a lying position in an accident). The battery cover should be made easier to open (it is very difficult to grip the loose nut on the cover). It is also recommended to add a suitable platform for filling the fuel tank.
