1 211 Walnut Street Neenah, WI AN ORDINANCE: By Public Services & Safety Committee Re: Repealing and recreating the official traffic maps established by Code 16-36(a)(1) and Amending Code 16-99, & relating to off street parking lots and regulations. ORDINANCE NO Introduced: April 3, 2013 Committee/Commission Action: RECOMMENDED FOR PASSAGE AN ORDINANCE The Common Council of the City of Neenah, Wisconsin, do ordain as follows: Section 1. The Official Traffic Maps adopted pursuant to Section 16-36(a)(1) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Neenah are repealed and recreated as the following Official Traffic Maps: (a) Speed Limits Map dated April 3, 2013; (b) One-Way Highways, Turns and Lanes Map dated April 3, 2013; (c) On-Street Parking Map dated April 3, 2013; (d) Heavy Traffic Routes Map dated April 3, 2013; (e) Controlled Intersections Map dated April 3, Section 2. Sec of the Code of Ordinance of the City of Neenah is repealed and recreated to read as follows: Sec City owned or leased parking lots defined; Parking Regulations Established. The property owned or leased by the City and used as public parking lots for vehicles and regulations thereof shall be as stated in the following table:

5 Section 3. repealed. Sec of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Neenah is hereby Section 4. Section of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Neenah is amended by deleting the stricken language and adding the highlighted language to read as follows: General regulations. (a) Time period. No person shall park a vehicle longer than a 24-hour period in any parking lot. (b)all night parking permitted. All night parking is permitted in the following lots: Lots 1, 3, 4, 6 and 8 and the permit portion of Lot 5. To qualify for said parking, vehicles must display a current monthly parking permit. (c)all night parking not permitted. All night parking is not permitted in the following lots: Lots 2 and 7, 16 and 17. It is also not permitted in the portion of Lot 5 marked for two-hour parking. No person shall park a vehicle in these areas between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. (d)(b) Handicapped parking. All parking lots shall conform to the requirements specified in the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines. This conformance shall include both the number of handicapped accessible parking spaces provided and the marking of those spaces. (e)(c) Two Hour Parking. Within the two-hour parking area of any public parking lot, a vehicle shall be allowed to park for a maximum of two hours between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. each day during the time period of any two-hour parking restriction identified in this division. A single act of parking on any day within the lot shall constitute two hours of parking should a vehicle leave a parking space prior to reaching the two-hour limit. Section 5. Sections (as amended) and of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Neenah are renumbered as Sections and respectively. Section 6. Severability. In the event any section, subsection, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held illegal, invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision, and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance. It is the legislative intent of the Common Council that this ordinance would have been adopted if such illegal provision had not been included or any illegal application had not been made. Section 7. Repeal and Effective Date. All ordinances or parts of ordinances and resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and publication.
