2 Delivery of ATLAS 1604ZW / 1404 ZW in accordance with new European standard EN The new load moment limitation HOS Starting in the second half of 2017, our ATLAS rail-road excavators must be delivered in the execution according to the new European standard EN In this regard, various modifications of the equipment components of the ATLAS rail-road excavators are required. A significant modification is equipment with the new load moment limitation HOS as a standard feature. The modifications to the cab are immediately evident from the new display in the right panel. In the following, please find a detailed explanation of the new HOS system. 2

3 Parameters of the new Tera 7 display : The future new HOS system combines 3 different systems in one device: - Lift height limitation (previously Option S 9.1 NEW HHB) - Slewing limitation (previously Option S 12.2 NEW SB ) - NEW: Automatic overload cut-off - LMB Pleasenote: In the future, this system will be firmly installed in the on-board electronics of every rail-road excavator. Ordering it as an option according to price list is therefore no longer possible. For this reason, rail-road excavators without EBA certification in the new version according to EN will be equipped with the new HOS system. The gross price of the base machine will be recalculated accordingly. 3

4 New HOS system with integrated data protection In accordance with the new standard EN 15746, the HOS system is equipped with automatic data protection. In detail, this means that when load moment limitation / slewing limitation or lift height limitation are activated, the last 1,000 events of machine operation are recorded by a data protection system. The recording is only activated automatically in case of an event, e.g. exceeding the slewing limitation (cut-off) or malfunction of an angle transmitter. So the operation of the machine is not continuously recorded in general. Among others, the following data are recorded: - Load - Utilization - Track alignment - Slewing angle - Speed - Status of the LMB / slewing limitation / lift height limitation - Angle base arm - Angle boom 4

Due to installation of the new LMB system in the right panel, the familiar indicator system SLIM of the previous electronic height limitation is eliminated. The data are now shown on the new display Tera 7. The DEUTZ display as well as the indicators of the tool control system remain unchanged in their familiar position. 5
