1 Press Release Intermat 2015 in Paris April Ganderkesee/Germany, April 07, Intermat booth: E5 G 004 World premiere in Paris: At the Intermat 2015 (April 20-25, Paris) Atlas Maschinen GmbH presents its latest products and innovations. One of the highlights at the 400m² trade-show booth (G 004; outdoor area E5) is the 350MH E electric material handler, which will celebrate its world premiere in Paris. The new Kaelble wheel loaders will also make their exhibition debut at Intermat Further focus will be on material handling crawler excavators, wheeled excavators for special underground construction applications, the most advanced truck-mounted loader cranes, and transverse cutting units made by Schaeff. With its participation at the largest construction machinery trade show in France, Atlas once again demonstrates its familiar strengths: highly efficient niche products developed and designed for the specific needs of its customers worldwide. Whether in recycling, earth moving or mining Atlas Maschinen always works closely with its worldwide partners. In France alone the manufacturer cooperates with 23 dealers, which ensures a tightly knit sales and service network. Electric material handler 350 MH E At the Intermat 2015 Atlas Maschinen shows its first solely electrically powered material handling machine. The Atlas 350MH E is a 35-ton material handling machine for recycling and scrap handling with a total power of 170 kw. The 132kW-main drive powers the master hydraulic system with an auxiliary drive for pilot control and steering. The cabin is completely integrated into the upper superstructure, which means that Atlas can use many components from the standard machine this makes the 350MH E surprisingly cost effective. The electric drive offers a number of advantages: low energy costs, significantly lower maintenance requirements, no refueling stops and zero CO 2 emissions. The emission-free and low-noise operation clearly improves comfort of the operator. The machine can be moved from location to location with ease this is ensured by approximately 80m of cable, fixed on a cable reel mounted to the undercarriage. 2 Kaelble wheel loader TL 260 Atlas Maschinen acquired the famous Kaelble brand and the wheel loader production from Terex and has further broadened its product range by adding articulated wheel loaders to the portfolio. The current line up comprises six different heavy-duty loaders with bucket capacities of 1.5 to 4.5 m³. At the Intermat 2015 Atlas presents the TL 260 with an operating weight of 14.5 tons. Options of 2.5 to 4.5 m³ buckets can be offered depending on the customers requirements. Power comes from a 128 kw Cummins QSB cylinder-turbodiesel engine (EURO IIIB exhaust emission category). The load sensing hydraulic system (LUDV) is produced by Bosch Rexroth this ensures highly efficient operation and fast turnaround times in earth moving and recycling applications. Material handling crawler excavator 350 MH TracMec The 350 MH TracMec is yet another Atlas innovation. Developed through the specific request of one of its customers Atlas designed a material handler with a crawler undercarriage, which can be hydraulically extended at the touch of a button. The advantage: vastly improved stability and enhanced safety and, by this, a higher working speed in material handling operations. In the design process Atlas Maschinen closely works with the Italian specialist supplier TracMec, part of the renowned Bauer group. This gives Atlas customers access to high-end machinery components without having to share the costs for in-house design and reliability trials. Rail-road excavator 1604 ZW Atlas has a long and very successful track-record with rail-road excavators. The current product range comprises the models 1404 ZW and 1604 ZW with CARSY control system, and the 1404 ZW with friction-wheel drive for narrow gauge track systems. At the Intermat 2015 Atlas introduces its 1604 ZW with the new function lifting cylinder lowering this makes it significantly quicker and easier to raise the machine off the tracks outside level RR crossings. In addition Atlas increased the operating pressure for the drive function, which significantly increases the drive performance of the 1604 ZW when towing railroad wagons; permitted towable load is now 40 tons without brakes and 120 tons with brakes. Wheeled excavator 220 W Wheeled excavators also feature in the Atlas Maschinen product portfolio; these machines are specifically tailored to customer requirements. The current model range comprises 7 wheeled excavator types with operating weights of 14 thru 23 tons. 3 excavator, which was retrofitted for special underground construction work. With the VarioLift option the cab can be elevated and moved forward by two meters in both directions this gives the operator an excellent view of the operating area. This coupled with the telescopic jib and a deep-grip feature means the 220 W offers a maximum reachable working depth of up to ten meters below ground level. Atlas salvage crane and loader crane At the Intermat 2015 Atlas shows several novelties and innovations from its loader crane segment. This includes the truck-mounted loader cranes A4, A6, A28, and 88.3 A3. On display are also light cranes of the T-series, available since 2013: TC 13 A2, TC 23 A3, and TC 33 A3 the latter now also available with a winch and radio remote control. Schaeff transverse cutting units Schaeff cutting units are another field of our expertise. Atlas Maschinen offers cutting units with and without rotator, cutter buckets, and patch planers. By using adapter plates Schaeff cutting units can be fitted to all excavator types from 2 to 60 tons. At Intermat 2015 Atlas shows three units from its current Schaeff product range. New managing director: Brahim Stitou With its participation at the Intermat 2015 Atlas Maschinen GmbH also opens a new chapter from a personnel angle: the new Atlas managing director Brahim Stitou will be on site in Paris together with Fil Filipov, the owner of the company, to answer all questions from visitors and customers. Fil Filipov took over the Atlas business from the Terex group and, after successfully restructuring the company, handed over the operative management in Brahim Stitou intends to carry on with the successful concept and continue to focus on special machinery in the future.
