9 A FEW TIPS Do fuel receipts indicate time spent fueling properly logged as on-duty? Is the use of the vehicle for personal conveyance properly logged? 9+ hours driving may require additional scrutiny. Was the time spent during a driver and/or vehicle destination inspection properly logged? Is there any unaccounted travel? Do the logs show any on duty time when he/she was likely off duty? Are toll receipts consistent with safe speeds? Are relief drivers consistent with payroll? Are you reviewing/auditing your logs in a manner that allows you to take advantage of fresh memories. Consider a stress test.

18 Legislative & Regulatory National Issues Chicago, IL Party Bus Ordinance Update Chicago passed an ordinance requiring a security guard and video cameras on each coach that may stop somewhere where alcohol is sold. The Midwest Bus & Motorcoach Association retained a lobbyist to work on amending the ordinance to exempt traditional charter bus. Unified Carrier Registration UCR Registration Period Delayed Indefinitely The start of the 2019 UCR registration period is delayed until further notice. FMCSA must complete its rulemaking process on fee levels for Once the rulemaking is published, the UCR Board will issue a recommended enforcement date three (3) months from the start of the registration period.
