4 EU parliament European Parliament resolution of 27 September 2011 on European road safety (2010/2235(INI)): (Article 73): Recommends that fitting of alcolocks with a small, scientifically-based range of tolerance for measurement to all new types of commercial passenger and goods transport vehicles be made compulsory; - calls on the Commission to prepare by 2013 a proposal for a Directive for the fitting of alcolocks, including the relevant specifications for its technical implementation In plain words: European Union wants alcohol interlocks in commercial vehicles.

5 Nordic Council: 64th session, Helsinki : Report A-1566: The Nordic Council recommends the Member Countries to: implement alchohol interlocks for commercial and professional drivers in the Nordic Countries, Faeroe Island, Greenland and Åland implement alcohol interlocks for persons convicted for driving under influence of alcohol do research of alchol interlocks in all types of motor vehicles for General Prevention Purpose The Nordic Council wants alcohol interlocks in commercial vehicles to stop drunk driving.

6 Traffic Drugs in Norway Norwegian People Health Institute report September 2011: 1: 4 av 10 killed drivers were DUI 2: 40% only under influence of alcohol 3: 22% under influence of narcotics/drugs % with alcohol and narcotics/drugs Alcohol caused most traffic deaths in single accidents Alcohol interlocs in all cars could halt 8 of 10 DUI

Adjust the law for the use of alcohol interlocks Secure the lawful rights of professional drivers

11 Company politics: New demands to secure users would introduce: Comprehensive communication and understanding between management, unions and users Agreements to take care of the users civil and lawbinding rights. Reliable and easyhandling technologi during all circumstanses Well provided service network Companies needs a clear drug-handling policy Strong protection of Sensitive Information in Registry only authorized person may have access.

12 New Paradigm? They look at the things as they are today and ask WHY We look at the future of drugfree traffic and ask WHY NOT? Why not use alcohol interlocks to stop more humans being deprived of their freedom of enjoying their life, their work, their families and their future?
