It does this by referring directly to its founder, the MP6 prototype, born in the spring of 1946, the most famous scooter in the world, and unsurpassed icon of Italian style and creativity. Created to mobilize a nation, Vespa took the entire world into a higher gear. An on-going epic of pleasure and freedom to travel, in unmistakable style, down any road in the world. 4

This is genuine design object in chrome plated metal, on a base etched with Vespa 946 logos. -Welcome kit will auto ship to dealers free of charge - -Kits will be mailed to dealers at the end of November. Dealers will invite their customers to the dealership to receive their Welcome Kit - 8

This project is the progenitor of next Vespa generations, carrying the legacy of an Italian success tradition. 946 represents the best of Italian way in style, craftsmanship, technology and quality production. 946 is an important step forward not only in terms of brand image, product, and style, but also in terms of innovation, production processes and craftsman realization. 16

While referring to the classical canons, 946 stops the constant evolution of design in a sort of fascinating"back to the future. This solution puts Vespa on the top level regarding safety and technology. ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) system debutsforthefirsttimeon Vespa:946 is equipped with the innovative traction control, advanced electronic system that prevents slippage of the rear wheel, ensuring always the best traction in every condition. Rear suspension For the first time in the Vespa history, the single rear adjustable shock absorber is mounted horizontally with progressive lever system: a solution that provides reduced size and increased comfort while driving. 26

And it guarantees the best performance in its category. Electronic injection, three-valve distribution, reduced friction and improved fluid dynamics sharply reduce consumption and emissions, establishing a new benchmark over and beyond current regulations. The overall engine efficiency allows maintenance cycles every 6000 miles ( km). More torque, less emissions and fuel consumption, up to 130 mpg(50kmperliter). 27
