3 2018 Lone Star T s - Tickey Creek Tour to Gainsville - Saturday, October 27th Mileage Total Miles Directions Starting from McDonald s on Coit Road at TURN RIGHT out of McDonald s parking lot heading north on Coit Road Settle into the center lane TURN LEFT on Lebanon Road (just past Sam Rayburn Tollway aka SH 121) (we will pull in to regroup at the pet hospital on the right) TURN RIGHT on FM Turn RIGHT into the QuickTrip at Little Elm Parkway for a rest stop Turn RIGHT out of the QT parking lot back onto FM TURN LEFT on Hwy 380 / University and get in the right lane (There is a good shoulder if traffic is heavy) TURN RIGHT on FM this is the next light TURN LEFT on FM 428 towards Aubrey At Stop Sign - CROSS 2931 Cross Highway 377, continue towards town, road changes name to Springhill Road, then to Main Street; continue on Main Street past Pecan Street, Plum Street, Aubrey City Park on the right to Mom s Home Cookin on left South Main Street - this is our lunch stop! There is limited parking in front of the restaurant, there is a lot across the street that we may have to use. (They do give a senior discount!) After lunch, continue on Main Street to Sherman Drive TURN RIGHT at the stop sign on to Sherman Drive TURN LEFT on to Highway 377, WATCH FOR TRAFFIC, you can use the shoulder of the road if needed TURN RIGHT on to Cole Road (at the sign for Equine Medical Assoc) the road will turn sharp LEFT (do not go straight) TURN LEFT into the fi rst driveway past the stop sign for Highpoint Performance Horses. We are stopping here to see some privately owned exotic animals, including a giraffe, camel among others at this horse ranch. 3

5 37.3 Leaving Highpoint - TURN LEFT out of the driveway on to Cole Road GO STRAIGHT at stop sign changes to Friendship Road. The road will make a hard right, stay on Friendship Road TURN LEFT at the stop sign on to FM 1385 (not marked) TURN LEFT on to Strittmatter Road (there is a gray board fence) (this road starts off bouncy & rough, go slow but smooths out) TURN RIGHT on to Hwy 377 WATCH FOR TRAFFIC! Look BOTH WAYS, make sure the road is clear as you are basically crossing the highway to < Go into the Dairy Queen in Pilot Point for a break stop TURN LEFT out of the Dairy Queen and back onto 377 WATCH FOR FAST TRAFFIC TURN LEFT on to Gene Autry Drive (in Tioga, Texas Star Bank on right corner & a Sara Boyd Billboard on the left) < TURN RIGHT on to Texas Street (this is gravel, space out, go slow) At 2nd stop sign TURN LEFT on to FM TURN RIGHT on to CR 203, this road will make hard turns, stay on TURN LEFT on to FM TURN RIGHT on to FM In Woodbine, at the T in the road - go LEFT onto to FM 678 towards Gainsville FM 678 will split, go to the RIGHT to be on E. Broadway Street (there is a fl ashing yellow light) TURN RIGHT at the stop sign on to Fair Avenue At the stop sign TURN LEFT on O Neal Street TURN RIGHT on to N. Grand Avenue Go under Highway 82, be in the left lane and TURN LEFT to merge onto Summit Avenue (Hwy 82) Cross over I-35 - TURN RIGHT in to driveway for Days Inn (not marked Columbine St., follow around and then turn LEFT into the Comfort Suites Hotel 5

Return to the Hotel TURN RIGHT out of the Luigi s parking lot onto the I-35 frontage road, Proceed to the end of the frontage road to the round-about, and follow the south bound side, WATCH FOR EXITING TRAFFIC - THEY HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY - YOU DO NOT! There are 3 exit ramps to watch! Turn RIGHT back into the driveway at Columbine. SEE YOU AT 9:15 SUNDAY MORNING DRIVER S MEETING, DEPART 9:30 FOR HOME. DEPARTING THE COMFORT SUITES HOTEL TURN RIGHT out of the parking lot on to the I-35 Frontage Road, get in the left lane,.1.1 TURN LEFT onto Highway Keep RIGHT to take the ramp to TURN RIGHT onto Grand Avenue TURN LEFT at the stop sign on to Anthony Street (to continue on FM 372) VEER RIGHT on to Burns City Road (to continue on FM 372) TURN LEFT on FM 902 (at the white pole fence, far left side of road) TURN RIGHT on to CR 203 (Mt. Zion Cemetery sign) At the dead end TURN LEFT (CR 287) this makes a right turn and we are back on CR TURN LEFT on to FM 922 (Cross traffic does not stop) TURN RIGHT on to Hwy TURN LEFT on FM 121
