16 1 BMW rear cycle holder The BMW rear cycle holder is designed to withstand high dynamic stresses. Thanks to a tilting function, it also permits easy access to the luggage compartment at all times. When not in use, it folds up into a compact and convenient size. It can be used for two bicycles/e-bikes. For selected models, a separately available extension can be used for transporting a third bike. 2 Touring cycle holder, lockable The lockable touring cycle holder is made from high-strength aluminium and enables the safe transport of a racing, touring, mountain or children s bicycle. Bicycles weighing up to max. of 22.5kg can be attached with an easy-to-use clamping system. 3 Racing cycle holder, lockable The lockable racing cycle holder enables the secure transport of racing bikes with the quick-release wheel system. It is made of high-strength aluminium and features a simple clamping method for attaching the bicycles. A separate front wheel holder is also available. 4 Travel set This comprises a cabin-size trolley and a carry-on bag, which can be used to create extra storage space on the rear seat of Convertible models. The pieces of luggage can be transported individually or stacked together. They are held in place using the seatbelt and feature their own anti-theft locks. 5 Universal rear seat protector This helps to prevent soiling of the rear seats. BMW Trackstar* BMW Trackstar is a small covert electronic device installed in your vehicle which utilises state of the art technology such as GPS, GSM and an integrated motion detector in order to accurately locate your vehicle should it be stolen. When it has been established that your car has been stolen, the unit is activated and tracking can commence. BMW Trackstar attracts full Thatcham Cat 6 Accreditation.** BMW Trackstar Advance* BMW Trackstar Cat 6 Advance utilises an electronic key-tag to provide an advanced level of theft prevention. Issued alongside the car key, the key-tag connects with the in-car system and recognises the driver as the owner of the car and must be present alongside the car key in the vehicle in order for the ignition to start. BMW Trackstar Advance attracts full Thatcham Cat 6 Accreditation.** BMW Trackstar 5* The BMW Trackstar 5 unit operates in the same way as the BMW Trackstar unit but incorporates the added benefit of a Driver Authentication Device. If the device is present the BMW Trackstar 5 unit can detect that the person driving the vehicle is authorised to do so, therefore in the event of a theft where the thief does not have the Driver Authentication Device, the Control Centre is alerted. Reports have shown that an increasing trend amongst car thieves is to steal the vehicle s keys. Thus without the Driver Authentication Device, the theft will be identified promptly and ultimately increase the likelihood of a successful recovery.
