16 16 Reversing camera. Reverse parking and manoeuvring is much easier and safer using the reversing camera. It is activated automatically when the driver selects reverse gear, and shows the driver the area behind the vehicle with dynamic guide lines on the head-unit display. Blind Spot Assist.* The system makes it possible to spot one of the major hazards in traffic. When a vehicle is detected in the blind spot, a red triangle lights up in the exterior mirror. If the driver misses this alert and indicates to change lanes, there is also an audible warning. *Optional equipment.

17 LED Intelligent Light System.* 17 For better visibility on country roads and motorways, when turning or cornering, the LED Intelligent Light System adapts to light and driving conditions automatically. In addition to its distinctive visual appeal, LED technology delivers a greater light intensity and dazzles less. DYNAMIC SELECT.* Comfortable, sporty, highly sporty or completely individual suspension settings can be called up at the touch of a button using DYNAMIC SELECT. With the selected driving mode, parameters such as the characteristics of the engine, transmission, steering and sound are also changed. *Optional equipment.

18 18 So close to heaven. The sky s the limit with the optional panoramic vario-roof. It offers a clear view of the skies above for an open-air feeling even when the roof is closed. Also with the option of MAGIC SKY CONTROL: the tinted glass turns transparent at the mere push of a button. And the interior feels much larger. When the glass is darkened, the vehicle interior heats up far less. Like summer all year round. The optional AIRSCARF neck-level heating developed by Mercedes-Benz extends the open-air season at the touch of a button by providing an area of warm air around the driver s and passenger s neck and shoulders. There are three levels of temperature adjustment.

19 19 The air deflector. The optional AIRGUIDE draught-stop system minimises draughts and wind noise when driving with the roof down, thus tangibly enhancing comfort. As it consists of two transparent pivoting elements, it does not restrict visibility towards the rear. These individually adjustable plastic panels are installed on the rear of the rollover bars. They guide the air currents so that significantly less draught air flows around the driver s and passenger s head and shoulders. Open-air comfort. The optional semi-automatic boot separator makes operating the vario-roof even more convenient. If the boot separator is in its upper position to provide more space for luggage, it is lowered automatically when the soft top is opened, with no need for manual closing. The system operates safely: in case of obstacles or a lack of space due to luggage, the process is aborted automatically and the driver is provided with a warning.

20 20 Dynamic Handling package.* The suspension lowered by 10 millimetres including adaptive damping system, the Direct-Steer system with speed-sensitive power assistance and variable steering ratio, and the ESP Curve Dynamic Assist enhance agility, driving comfort and directional stability. 21 21 Transmissions. Perfectly in tune with the petrol engine, the 6-speed manual transmission offers a high level of shift comfort, precision shifting and harmonious gear changes. It also supports comfortable, fuel-saving driving at low engine speeds. 9G-TRONIC 9-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION Featuring nine forward gears, this automatic transmission takes efficiency, comfort and dynamics to a completely new level. It impresses with even swifter and smoother gear changes. At the same time 9G-TRONIC helps reduce fuel consumption.
