Company History & Vision Solaire Generation was founded in 2008 when founder Laurence Mackler recognized an untapped market for installing renewable energy in the public domain. He applied 20 years of experience in sustainable architecture, fabrication, and construction to develop architecturally driven solar structure designs. Once the designs were awarded patents in 2009, a group of equally committed and talented individuals with extensive business and architectural experience came together to form the initial Solaire team, David Froelich, Brian Cuff, and Mr. Iwasaka. In Q Solaire installed its first MW of Premium F1 canopies for Johnson & Johnson. Since that initial success, Solaire has built over 35 MW of solar carports and expanded its product line to include designs for all budgets and geographies, including EV-charging integrated canopies, garage top solar canopies, and sculptures. Solaire is proud to have successfully met the needs of dozens of clients including corporations, schools, the US military, local communities, retailers, religious organizations and others. Solaire canopies collectively span 14 miles and cover over 3 million square feet of previously underutilized asphalt. Those 20,250 shaded parking spaces produce enough clean and renewable energy to power 4,000 homes annually. Solaire offers full EPC services including value driven rooftop, ground mount and building integrated PV systems. The Solaire team is creating innovative ways for parking lots and buildings to be converted into holistic renewable energy generators that cost effectively manage natural resources.
