1 The NORTH EASTERN EXPRESS INDEX TO ISSUE Nos ISSN NER No a Black, Hawthorn 0-4-0ST. The Journal of the NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY ASSOCIATION Published by the N.E.R.A. April1992
2 INTRODUCTION This index to issue numbers 101 to 120 of the NORTH EASTERN EXPRESS, was originally prepared in 1991 the North Eastern Railway Association to mark its 30th anniversary. All major articles appearing in the NORTH EASTERN EXPRESS are listed by subject in alphabetical order, as are many minor items such as Acts of Parliament. Items appearing in Notes and News columns are not listed. Photographs are indexed in a separate appendix. Index entries refer to the number of the individual journal and to the first page on which the item appears. Thus an entry 107/40 refers to an article beginning on page 40 of Express No Articles appearing in supplements to individual issues are denoted by a suffix "s" (e.g. lois). Other references to special supplements and particular newsletters should be self evident. There are a number of references to articles in earlier issues where these are continued into the present index. Similarly "Cont" indicates an article continued into issue 121. References for photographs are given in the appendix. The NERA wish to acknowledge the assistance of Denis Whitfield in the preparation of this index. THE NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY ASSOCIATION The North Eastern Railway Association caters for all those interest in the railways of the North East, in particular the North Eastern Railway, Hull & Bamsley, but also the many private and colliery railways. An illustrated journal is issued to members quarterly accompanied by drawing supplements and general notices on current activities. A Membership Prospectus can be obtained from : - Mr. T.
