6 SUSTAINABILITY & QUALITY State-of-the-art new main building now in use Since 2013, Deca Packaging Group has started production in a unique new building at Toekomstlaan 28 in Herentals. The building is a statement about DECA. It is not only an architectural asset for the surrounding area, it also complies with the most advanced standards. It was built in compliance with the strictest HACCP and food legislation. The durable, concrete construction is heavily insulated. The PV system supplies green electricity for our own use. Furthermore, the offices and warehouses are heated entirely by heat recovered from the machinery coolant. This all results in a sustainable site with minimal CO 2 footprint. IML is the process whereby the label is already integrated during the injection moulding process of the packaging. In other words, the label and the package are literally fused into one.
