1 New Product Information VAG - Vehicles with double clutch transmission LuK 2CT Repair Solution Issued / LUK_0555 Technical content subject to change OE manufacturer's names and numbers are used for reference purposes only Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket Over 3 million VAG vehicles are now equipped with a semi-automatic matic double clutch transmission, and that number is set to keep on growing. As part of Schaeffler s ongoing commitment to provide the latest technology and training, LuK is pleased to announce the launch of the only complete repair solution for this system that has been en designed specifically for the Aftermarket. Products available include RepSet 2CT kits, Dual Mass Flywheels (DMF) and DMF bolt sets, plus the specialised tools and training required to perform a professional replacement. The DMF for both wet & dry double clutch transmission systems s (introduced by VAG in 2004 & 2008 respectively) have been available from LuK for some time now and, as their replacement does not require any special tools or training, are being sold in increasing numbers. However, a full clutch replacement is much more complex, as the LuK dry clutch assembly is pressed onto one of the two gearbox shafts and requires a special tool to remove and replace it. In addition the two actuation bearings require shimming to achieve the correct given clutch plate end float. Due to the complexity of this replacement, a bespoke training course is available to all garages who want to work on the 7-Speed dry double clutch system. The course is IMI approved and certificated, delivered by experienced LuK trainers, and currently only a nominal charge for the certification applies. As a highly technical product, RepSet 2CT kits should only be supplied to and installed by technicians who have achieved Schaeffler s IMI 2CT certification and are using the correct fitting tools, which can be either bought or hired.* The LuK 2CT Special tool part number is Please ask your Schaeffler Territory Manager for more information about 2CT and the products, tools and training on offer.
