1 CNG models in the Volkswagen Group The brands of the Volkswagen Group offer a diverse selection of vehicles with low-emission and fuel-efficient CNG power units. The product range on the German automobile market ranges from the small-car class to the premium segment and also comprises practical all-rounders for leisure and family use. All CNG models have a bivalent drive unit. Alongside natural gas, they also have a petrol tank on board. This ensures convenient mobility and a high range at all times. If the supply of natural gas is coming to an end and no CNG filling station is close by, drivers can switch to petrol operation. VW Golf TGI Blue Motion The bestseller on Germany s roads is also supplied with a modern CNG power unit. The VW Golf TGI Blue Motion is supplied as a four-door saloon in the equipment lines Trendline and Comfortline. The automobile s 81 kw (110 hp) TGI engine can be optionally combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed double-clutch gearbox (DSG). VW Golf Variant TGI Blue Motion The VW Golf Variant TGI Blue Motion combines the qualities of a classic with an expanded offering of additional space and with the efficiency benefits of the CNG power unit. The version of the VW Golf Variant designed for operation with natural gas can also be supplied in two equipment lines and with 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DSG. The sixth generation is also powered by natural gas for the first time: the newly developed 1.0 TGI produces 66 kw / 90 hp. The Audi A5 Sportback g-tron is also powered by the new 2.0 litre CNG engine with 125 kw (170 hp). ŠKODA OCTAVIA G-TEC After a comprehensive model revision, the ŠKODA OCTAVIA is once again supplied in a CNG version. The spacious saloon in the compact segment is powered by a 1.4 litre turbo engine generating 81 kw (110 hp). The series equipment of the ŠKODA OCTAVIA G-TEC also includes a Green tec package with automatic stop/start system and brake energy recovery. ŠKODA OCTAVIA G-TEC Combi The latest version of the ŠKODA OCTAVIA Combi is supplied with a CNG power unit. The ŠKODA OCTAVIA G-TEC Combi defines benchmarks in the compact segment with a number of features including maximum dimensions of 1610 litres for the volume of its boot. As in the case of the saloon, the automobile s engine can be combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox or with a 7-speed double clutch gearbox (DSG). The estate version of the compact CNG model can be ordered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed double clutch gearbox (DSG). SEAT Ibiza TGI The SEAT Ibiza TGI combines design and comfort with efficiency and sustainability. The engine works primarily with natural gas (CNG). Only when the natural gas tank is empty, the drive automatically switches to gasoline.
