3 Modular MPP-Tracking -Inverters: - Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) works on string level. - The whole system only performs as well as the lowest working module in that array, leaving some modules operating below their MPP. Micro-Inverters: - MPPT works on modular level, letting each module work most efficiently. - This increases power output of PV-system by about 5%!

Micro-Inverters: - Each module works at its optimum and is not affected by the performance of other modules, enabling systems with different module orientations and tolerances.

7 Reduced Risk of Fire -Inverters: - High fire risk from arc faults due to high DC-voltages of about 6V and large geographic distribution on DC- wiring systems. Micro-Inverters: - Modules work at much lower DC voltages and current and limit the distribution of DC wiring to the vicinity of the module, eliminating arc fault risk.
